This is a great story. Great writting. I could really feel Edward's pain. Please update soon.

This story continues to be so intriguing....you did a great job showing E's struggle between his humanity and his vampire nature.

Another wonderful chapter. Had me on the edge of the seat, and that takes a lot of work to do that. Can't wait for an update.

Oh, no you didn't just dis Knotts Berry Farm!!  Yeah, yeah, I know it can't compare to the mouse house, but they did (I haven't been in quite a few years) have decent food.  I like this story-Edward is truly frightening -so much more so than the original, and I LOVE it.

Another wonderful chapter. I really liked Bella's thinking through this and how you illustrated the parallells between the two mothers. I am interested to see where you will go with this.

Great chapter!  I liked Knott's Berry Farm, though!  Much less crowded than Disneyland.   :-)

I really liked this chapter!  I enjoyed her thought processes and refusal to ever entirely give up, even when it appeared that she had.  Rock on!

And the ending of the chapter is just perfect.

Oh, that was so creepy when he was prepping her vein!

Bella played that out very well.  Amazing that she was even able to think in that circumstance.  So sad how Renee died, yet she was able to use that to reach Edward.

I love the last few lines.  She didn't have to humanize him at all in that moment, but it was really sweet.

Made me cry, great story!!!

I really don't know anything other than her silent mind and the smell of her blood "called" to him and made him intrigued with her.  I think he didn't kill her because he truly doesn't want to be a monster, but his instincts drive his behaviour sometimes.  Edward is basically a good guy, but he has these tendencies inside of himself, as we all do, when you think about it.  Sometimes you can fight your nature and sometimes you can't.  Edward, throughout the books, had to fight his nature constantly, just to be with Bella.  She didn't always appreciate that fact, but it was indeed a fact.  All in all, Bella was very lucky that Edward is and was the good guy we all have grown to love so much...

I followed this story over to ff.net.  Very intriguing idea, and you've taken Edward's conflicted nature exactly where it would have gone had he given in to his true nature, IMO.  Can't wait for this to continue...

Oh my!

Edward is really in a DARK place right now.  Why had he decided to 'drain' her, after all his years of abstaining, just because she gave him some indirect attention one night a week in passing?  Was it the scent of her blppd vs. that of others?

I can't believe he actually baited her, and drug her to a closed warehouse?  He has no other feelings for her?  He just decided out of the blue he would pick her to abandon his promise to Carlile?

I thought in his earlier times he took only criminals?  What did he mean about knowing boys that went missiing - was he talking about himself?

Vey intriguing.  Excellent work!

Author's Response:

thanks for reviewing - yeah, basically he was overwhelmed by her bloodscent and decided to throw everything out of the window. yeah, he only took criminals before, but she's his singer so he's made an exception.

Gah!  All this time I thought it was Edward!  I love your stories, and this has my interest.

Excellent chapter!

Oooh. Ok.  I was a bit confused about the "James" thing, myself.  This was very very good.  Very well writen and beautiful and dark. I love reading about Edward's internal struggle and Bella's reaction is so very like Bella.  She doesn't react the way Edward expects her too.  I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Wow, this is intense!  You threw us for a loop by initially giving him the names James, but you knew that, didn't you?  Me thinks you did it on purpose. hehehe I see the bravery (or is it bravado) from Bella and the humanity leaking out from Edward.  This is so good.  I usually don't read a story only in it's first chapter, but it intrigued me and I see in this second chapter that it's only getting better!  Update soon.  Please?

I'm rather intrigued by this story, I must say!  I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Thanks for the FAQ at the end because I was completely confused.  WOW...this is a very interesting story so far.  I am really looking forward to the next chapter.

OH I love this Edward. Dark and full of mystery. I knew that it was Edward in the 1st chapter, because she referred to him as James Dean. Great chapter. Update soon. Adding to favorties.

Reviewer: LJ Summers (Signed) · Date: July 28, 2009 04:00 PM · On: I'll Show You My Dark Secret

I guessed about James Dean.

This was a totally cool chapter. I love the guts it took for Bella to fight with words and demands. Very smart.

Very enjoyable story.  Weird and twisted, but enjoyable!

This is a very interesting version of "Twilight."  I really like what you've done to the characters:  making them a little older, and Edward much darker.  His reflections on how he likes the chase and the reactions of his prey are a great touch.

You write very well.  I'm looking forward to whatever comes next.
