Well...talk about a kiss of death...okay, i'm just kidding.  I do love the chapter, my dear...and somehow, i'm glad that Bella didn't have to wait!  but I sense problems ahead with the wolves!

Good for Bella!  This is was a good chapter.  Can't wait for the next. 

I loved that the family stood behind Bella and didn't let Edward stop the change.  Bella needed to take charge.  Edward always tries to make decisions for her.  He thinks he knows best, but he never consults Bella.  I'm glad she finally took things into her own hands.  And I'm glad that the family supported her.  And hopefully Edward will realize that Bella knows herself, her wants, her needs, etc better than anyone and if Edward will just listen then their relationship will just be that much stronger.

I agree... Edward was always way too controlling!  I figured that if the change wasn't absolutely necessary (like it was in BD), then it would probably take some pretty strong words from his family to convince him to let it happen!  Who better to put her foot down than Esme? :)
