Great start to this story. Unique idea. Quite colorful Bella and a smiling Edward laid back relaxed. Just wonderful. Jasper is funny. Edward instant attraction towards Bella. Edward knowing about Jasper being point guard for the high school. Team inviting them to Youth Group. Wonder if Jasper noticed Edward addressing his remarks to Bella instead of both of them? Looking forward to where the story will lead.

Ack! I hit the button too soon. So many of these types of stories 'fix' the religious person and assume that the other person is the one they should be more like. There is a happy middle. To me, it sounds like Bella could use some faith in her life, and could use some of Edward's 'goodness' so to speak. You don't have to be 'holy roller' for that to happen. I'll hang in there and see.

Hmmm, you know a bit too much about small town Indiana. I live in one myself, albeit mine is bigger than Winchester, but I am familiar with Winchester. And I am a Christian who teaches in a Christian school, and even I agree that some people are a little too over the top. But the people I know like that for the most part are sincere in their joy, so it doesn't bother me. When it comes from joy and sincerity, that doesn't bother me. It's when you KNOW it's for show that it grates. Anyway, I'm interested to see where this goes, although I really hope you aren't going to ruin a nice innocent youth pastor. ;-)
