I love reading about places that I know. I can clearly see exactly where she is and where she is going. I grew up on the west side of Houston. Of course my old neighborhood is "the hood" now. Anyway...
Claire is kind of snotty, but then again, most teenagers tend to be a little snotty anyway. This was a good chapter to let you know a little more about Bella. I liked it.

Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying all of the "local references"! I had decided when I first started writing this story, that I wanted to include as many little details about Texas / Houston life as I could, to enhance the realism. That was BEFORE I knew that folks from 'round these parts were actually reading this! Now, it's even more fun to throw those little details in there, knowing that y'all are reading and relating to them! And yes, you would be correct in thinking that Claire is kind of a spoiled brat!

Poor Emmett can't get any slack. Him in a feather boa... Hillarious! Jessica is a ho-bag! I can't believe she actually called the press. I don't even want to get into what an ass Mike Newton is. Poor Edward can't live a normal life. No wonder he is so miserable.

Author's Response: Yeah, it's a little cliched by now, I suppose. Emmett (and to some extent, Jasper) make for good comic relief, Jessica is usually portrayed as a slut-miester, and Newton is ALWAYS a tool! Somewhat predictable, I guess, but it all fit with the storyline! I wrote this chapter after Rob suffered an especially nasty pap-attack. Paps SUCK, imo! I think THEY are hands-down the toughest aspect of being a celebrity!

Author's Response: Yeah, poor Edward. Sigh. The celebrity lifestyle is definitely not all that it's cracked up to be. Jake may SEEM nice in the beginning, but as you know by now, he eventually shows his true colors. And Jane, well, we really just won't even talk about HER! LOL! I think it's pretty apparent right from the get-go what kind of person SHE is!

I love the story. I read until 1:45AM this morning because I couldn't stop reading it.
I like the way Edward is such a Brit. I really makes the story. Jane seems like such a bitch. Though she hasn't done anything outright horrible yet, something about her just gets under my skin.

Bella's a pretty loyal person, though, and she's been living this life for a looong time; it's going to take something MAJOR for her to see Jake as he really is, and to push her into Edward's arms! ;) I hope you'll be back for more!

By "the length of this puppy", I'm assuming you're asking about how many chapters this will eventually be. I'm guessing AT LEAST 25-30 chapters, EASY. I hope you'll be back for more! I was thinking a few chapters ago that Jake is likely stepping out. Bella can't be 'that' naive, right? She is just settled for what her life is right?
Author's Response: Bella has definitely "settled" into her "expected" roles throughout her life, and she's beginning to question that and rebel a little! As to whether or not Jake is "stepping out"; you'll have to wait & see! ;) Let me just say this, though: Bella is extremely loyal (even though Jake may not be), and it will take something MAJOR to push her into Edward's arms! Ok, like the story, but feeling a bit old with the depiction of Bella. Since she lives a life with details similar to my own. IE mother, carpooling, etc. makes me feel a bit....stale! Can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: Aww, hun! Glad you're enjoying the story, but don't feel old! I'm going to be 40 (gulp) this year, and I borrow heavily from my own life to depict Bella's! I'm in the same boat; married (for almost 20 years!), mini-van, kids, car-pool, the whole nine yards! What I wouldn't do to have an "Edward" in MY life, though! ;) TY for reading & reviewing!

First off - lunch was a blast! It was great to finally meet you! I think we could have talked for several more hours, it was a cryin' shame that we had to go back to work...
Now down to business - Excellent chapter, as expected, and thanks for getting it to us so quickly!!!! I could feel Edward's sense of loss from being separated from Bella, and his relief when he got her text. I especially loved the part where neither of them wanted to be the first to hang up.
My favorite line:
"Sometimes I wished I could throttle the shit out of my inner voice, and silence it for good."
Classic!!!! It would probably solve a lot of his problems if he could!
I can't wait for Bella to find out about Jacob, and for Edward and Bella to get together (and I do mean "together", ahem). I know I need to have patience... *sigh* It's just SO GOOD!!!!
I can relate to the Bloodhound Gang being a guilty pleasure. I love Fire Water Burn, it brings back so many memories of the good ol' wild and crazy college days... "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire..."

Then the conversation on how they handle the witch was priceless I was cracking up. Jasper saying he's a bodyguard and not a barista. *snicker* I just loved it when he told Jane her coffee was down on the corner at Starbucks. That's something I would say. Emmett singing yeah WHERE THE FUCK IS MY EARPLUGS!!!!!!!!!!!! MY EARS ARE BLEEDING!!!!!! LOL!!!!!! I'm glad that Bella texted Edward and that he called her instead of texting back. He really has it bad and Alice calling him out on it. It is a sticky situation because her being married. Well anyway I loved their conversation and it is clear that she misses Edward and wants to see him again. Come on Bella you need a vacation to somewhere rainy maybe....SEATTLE!!!!!! I'LL PAY FOR THE PLANE TICKET IF IT MEANS THAT YOU'LL JUMP EDWARDS BONES! I loved the chapter as always and of course I love the story. I read it yesterday as so as it updated, but being at work I couldn't give you a nice review.
Also I want to thank you again for going over my chapter for me. It was nice to get it back so quickly and posted that night. I'm not used to that. Thanks I owe you A LOT!!!!!!

RL has been a bitch the last few days - I want to just sit in peace at my computer and read updates - everyone leave me alone! So, anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Unfortunately, Jane isn't completely out of Edward's life YET; she'll be making life hellish for at least the next chapter, and don't forget, they have to work together again eventually too! Edward will be seeing Bella again SOON! AND he's going to be keeping in contact with her via text and phone until then. He's going to do something really sweet for her in the next chapter - how's THAT for a teaser?! The next chapter is going to be super looong and kinda angsty at times. Funny you should mention 'My Imaginery Friend' - I just started reading it yesterday :) If you're not reading 'Loner' or 'Gynazole', I hope you'll take my recommends on those! Love those two stories in particular for different reasons, and with Need to Escape and On the Threshhold! This site is fanfic heaven.

I loved this chapter...you know why. If you don't here is the rundown:
1. Edward thought if Bella called it meant the attraction was mutual. So he knows...
2. Alice noticed something diff with Edward...he's a different Edward and he knows...
3. Bella texted Edward and he called her back immediately...so now she knows...
4. Edward broke up with Jane or she him...whatevs...they're over and Bella knows...
In short...everybody knows...LOL! Sad next update is weeks away, but I can deal.
I actually pulled up your rec earlier this morning and added it to my "things to read list." Which basically means it's open in a tab, so when I don't have anymore updates to read, I will read it and get a new addiction.

This chapter was heartbreaking! Poor Edward and Bella, having to separate after just realizing the connection they have. I am SO glad you had Edward leave her the letter - hope survives!!!! And thank God for Angela!
As I've said many times before, I LOVE this story, and can't wait until you post part II. I'm looking forward to the time when Edward and Bella can be reunited and Jake can go jump in a lake... let's see how long he can hold his breath!!! ;-)
