Oh.My.Gosh! I can't believe what he said to her at the end!!! Apparently, he's still the self-sacrificing, do/say anything to not involve Bella in my world, kinda guy. But crap, that was just plain cruel and mean. Poor Bella. Great beginning. Looking forward to more.

You made Bella say words that she should've said the 1st time. It was very powerful to read. The pain, the pain, the pain.

And Edward is so darkward. I like how he's not brooding...he's dark and yes "flippant." He actually killed that man, right in front of Bella. Wow...for Edward to casually say "I'll remember that for the future, then," Sounds like he is so devoid of human feeling, well almost.

Loving your character build-up and the story is coming along very nicely, can't wait for the plot to develope even more.

Wow. Just wow. I can't wait to read the next chapter!!! This was really well written! I'm...at a loss for words with the way Edward is acting. "I'll remember that for the future, then" OUCH! But he would never, could never, let anyone hurt Bella....could he?
