I love it! Its adorable! Too bad about her dad though, but I understand, its not like her parents could have been divorced in 1918, that was pretty much unheard of.

I love the setting; the was Edward acts is awesome and for some reason I picture him with a Southern accent, and that makes his charm all the better. =D I look forward to the next chapter!

Intriguing start! I always wondered what Bella would be like if she were a product of the same era as Edward. And it is totally in that boy's nature to jump into something like enlisting without fully thinking about the consequences...looking forward to your next update!
