Just found your story and I love it (read it all at once, so one review, sorry)...the surprise factor takes the story on a whole new twist...she didn't know about him being a vampire, so no mental/emotional prep time...she was still in the place where she didn't think he liked her, so no real fantasizing...very intriguing...I like how Edward spoke kindly of her during the funeral but is holding a respectful distance from her and letting her new awareness settle in and allowing their friendship to unfold...i am excited to see what happens next...

I love how their relationship starts. I truly enjoyed the Jasper parts. I always thought they could have a real understanding friendship. Can't wait for an update.

I just discovered your story and I really like it. Bella is behaving exactly how you would expect a new vampire to act expecially if she didn't know anything about vampires before her change. I also like the fact that she wants to be friends with Edward instead of jumping from classmate to love in an instant. I am looking forward to more chapters.

You do a convincing job at the beginning of this chapter writing of Bella's genuine regret at murdering Erik. Her talk with Esme was poignant as was the discussion with Jasper. You are caught in a sense because you have to show remorse yet you can't keep her trapped there forever. So you need a transition. Alice coming in with clothes does not seem to work. I know that Bella has to snap out of her guilt in some way, so no matter what you do someone is going to whine. But Alice coming in with clothes and trying to dress Bella up for a date is jarring. I would suggest doing one thing, just one thing to make it flow better. Add a sentence or two towards the end of the chapter in which Bella is noting the irony of doing something so normal as putting on clothes, how ironic it is that she can feel the fabric of a pretty dress...and her friend Erik can't. And she's got to find a way to live with that for eternity. That way, you get the transition done that she needs to move on, but it isn't as jarring. Having her kill Erik awesome move - I hate the idea of Bella as the perfect newborn. You have a cruel streak like I do. :)
