oh, i can't wait to see how you handle the charlie factor!  this is on-the-edge-of-your-seat good!!!

Wow!  I am travelling for work this week and have loads of down-time, so I've just read all 57 chapters on my iphone while waiting in airports, etc.  And, well, wow!  I really loved it.  What I like most is that you are portraying Bella's and Edward's relationship as a mature, very real one.  I especially love the "lemony" scenes, not because they are lemony, but because they are so real!  You're right, sex is really about laughing and exploring and getting past insecurities together.  Sex, even with someone you love, can be awkward and at times downright funny!  Maybe I think that way because I've been married 13 years and have seen how love progresses and changes (I know-I'm really too old to be reading Twilight fanfic :)  But it's my guilty pleasure)

And I love the "real" conversations they have together -- because that's what couples who know each other well -- they talk and they forge friendships.  You don't see that much in fanfic.  That's for an incredibly well written story -- I can't wait to see how it all ends!  (Although I'll be so sad that I won't have it to read anymore!)

Author's Response:

Thank you!  And yes, a very real, grounded relationship was what I was trying to build!

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 05, 2009 08:00 AM · On: Chapter 21

This chapter had me feeling very melancholy. I was wishing for the love they used to share, but completely understanding why it isn't possible, yet still feeling badly for Edward that she doesn't love him, but still happy that she wants to be friends and that they are building on that. (I guess that makes me melancholy and run-on sentency). Anyway, I can't begin to understand how Bella feels with so many changes going on in her life right now, so I guess things are going better than expected.

Author's Response:

Bella is going through the work of hard grieving through that winter.  It definitely takes time, isn't just something she can blow past.  She's very fortunate in having people with her who care about her. :-)

What an amazing thing for her to find. By reading those emails, she could truly see what kind of friendship Edward and Mark had. It's very apparent how much they both love her by seeing the way that they working together for her happiness. I can see how that final email from Mark would truly break her heart, on so many levels. I wish I could read all of them. Wow.

Edward really has matured, hasn't he? I'm hoping this eventually leads to Edward & Bella falling in love again, but I guess I'll just need to wait and see. This story is all about building the relationship and not about flirting and some quick sex. I appreciate that.

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 05, 2009 06:58 AM · On: Chapter 18

Bella's idea for Edward to practice medicine is a good idea for him and will help him grow and have purpose. This story really does highlight the need to appreciate what you have and also to pursue what you love. It's also about change and acceptance, and I'm sure a whole lot of other themes I haven't picked up on yet. Well done.

it's good to have Alice when you get in trouble... but maybe they shouldn't stay so close to Irene...

i can't wait for the next update!!

Thanks for the new chapter! I can't wait to read what happens next! Will you switch to Bella eventually?

Author's Response:

Yes, Bella has a point of view part coming up after 2 others (Alice and Edward).  I wanted to show sort of, "Meanwhile, back at the ranch,,.,,)

My hands are wet (sorry to be honest here) and my heart is beating out of my chest. I expected a lot that could happen in your story. This, I didn't. But I love it. I still believe in your big heart and hope for the best :)

argh I don't know that my nails can handle much more waiting hehe

OMG, this turns out to be a criminal case. I don't want Edward implicated in anything, but I think Rose will handle this. I never thought this would have such a great impact on the cover of the Cullen family (stupid me), but I can see Charlie going ballistic, if he is indeed going to find out that Edward is Ed. Ed aka new husband :)

I have to add something to Irene. I think she handled this wrong. yes, she is definately human. But she lives with a shapeshifter on a very supersticious rez. I just can't believe she involved the police without telling Jake and the Cullens first.

Author's Response:

But Irene doesn't live in Forks remember, and not all reservations are superstitious.  She comes from a different tribe, and they all live in Boise.  Jakes turns into a werewolf very, very rarely these days.  So no, this really isn't something Irene is used to dealing with *at all*.

wow awsome chapter.. man i hope they find bella soon

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 04, 2009 11:09 PM · On: Chapter 17

Bella hit it right on the head when she said, "Before, in Forks, I barely scratched the surface of who you were, didn't I? Maybe it was my age, but I just didn't think a lot about what you'd seen in a hundred years of life.

I'm finding this fascinating.

Author's Response:

Writing some real HISTORY for the Cullens was fun, imagining what things they might have seen!

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 04, 2009 10:51 PM · On: Chapter 16

I feel like I'm getting to know these characters so well and I love seeing the "other side" of them. I do feel a little bad for Edward since he's the one who seems to have the most baggage to deal wtih. Have I mentioned how much I like this story....?

Reviewer: MischievousMe (Signed) · Date: August 04, 2009 10:42 PM · On: Chapter 12

very well thought out. two thumbs up kiddo. u do ur research.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  Getting the research correct is very important. :-)

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 04, 2009 10:40 PM · On: Chapter 15

I very much like the pace of the story. It's descriptive, comfortable, and takes time to explain what is happening, what people are thinking, and to let things develop on their own naturally. I'm really enjoying this!

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 04, 2009 10:27 PM · On: Chapter 14

I really like the sense of purpose everyone is getting as they plan the shelter. It really seems up Carlisle's alley too. I hope he comes back soon and wants to participate. I really enjoy the conversations and the bits & pieces of new information that comes out as they discuss things.

Reviewer: MischievousMe (Signed) · Date: August 04, 2009 10:27 PM · On: Chapter 11

hmmm... good plan fOr bella' economic issues. GO ROSE!!!

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 04, 2009 10:16 PM · On: Chapter 13

This chapter was quite a surprise to me because I didn't expect Esme to be so conflicted about Bella. She's protective of Edward and probably feels as if she's already lost so much. She seems to be recognizing Edward's new happiness and the possible spark between E&B, so maybe she'll soon let herself reconnect with Bella and also the others, like the other Cullens are now doing.

I love it how the story unfolds around me, taking me by along in directions that I didn't anticipate, but still a pleasant surprise.
