Hm, I have never thought about this topic that much.

Both roads have so many pros and then so many cons--a major decision.  I can't wait to see what Bella and Edward decide on together.

Thank you so much for all your great and careful writing, always written with research and/or much thought. (:

Author's Response:

Thank you!  And yes, several major decisions are being made!

OOh I really like your story...but it also makes me sad. I am rooting for a happy ending? With Bella a walking vampire?

Thank you so much for writing it! Can't wait for updates either.

Greetings from belgium!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I am a fan of HEA endings ... but realistic ones. :-D

Aw, the past two or three chapters have just tugged on my heart.  The love that Edward feels for Bella and such.

I came back from a vacation and now I'm back, still addicted to this story.

I'm actually past this chapter, but I just felt that I had to go back and post my little thought of these past few chapters.

Once again, thanks for your writing.  I love how you analyze the situations and question whether it's even slightly realistic or not.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I'm really glad you're enjoying it, and even are addicted to it!  I hope to have a couple of new chapters this week!

Reviewer: casket4mytears (Signed) · Date: July 13, 2009 08:36 AM · On: Chapter 49

Absolutely, this story is canon-worthy.  I have no idea what the original chapter looked like, but the final product was worth the wait.  Lord knows I've ditched chapters and chapter segments because things just weren't moving as I wanted.  When all else fails lately, I find a few drink help with writer's block.  The end product definitely needs proofing and work, but it lets me actually WRITE without overanalysis.

Author's Response:

That's really what happened here.  I started in the wrong place (too early) and it just DRAGGED.  But I'm glad the final works for people!

Reviewer: tina_cullen (Signed) · Date: July 13, 2009 12:42 AM · On: Chapter 49

ah, that's so domestic, for lack of a better word, but in a purely positive way. They finally really talk and get comfortable. Try to solve puzzle together and seem less tense.

Author's Response:

Yes, the finally talk!  I think the first talk like that is the hardest, because you're risking by putting yourself out there.  After, it's easier.

Loved the heart to heart in the jacuzzi! Very nice to see them moving along and merging their lives.  And for the record, Edward and Bella can borrow my kids any time they would like to play house.  Mama could use the break! (ahahaha!)

Author's Response:

LOL!  That's how my sister feels when I take hers.  'Please!  Have them!  Take them away for a few hours!' :-D

lovely story. I'd like to thank you for having disabled characters in your story.I have a few minor disabilities myself including epilepsy and very mild cerebal palsy.

Author's Response:

You're welcome, and thank you for taking time to comment!  And yes, I like the idea that disabled people have some representation in fanfic, and not in an Afterschool Special sort of way.  I've tried to keep the story NOT about her disability.  She's just a disabled character.

I've been following this story since the beginning and have been a horrible reviewer since... Yet I wouldn't miss an update. I like your character development too much. BTW I'm in the middle of renovating a house. You can send Emmett if he's amenable.

Author's Response:

I'd be happy to lend you Emmett!  LOL!  And thank you for the sweet words!

I just read the Twilight books a week ago.  Afterwards I contacted Minisinoo and asked her if she'd mind sharing some recs with me.  She HIGHLY recommended your story!  Having read all you've written so far in this fantastic story, I can understand why she loves this so much.  You've done a fantastic job of developing your characters. They feel completely consistent with canon, and yet you've evolved them enough to reflect the changes 10 years would bring.  I'm older than Bella is in this story, but even when I think back to the married woman I was in my late 20s, it's hard to see much similarity to the person I was in my late teens.  So I imagine it must be hard, particularly with Bella, to accurately reflect the changes those 10 years would bring while at the same time keeping them recognizable to fans of the series.  You succeed brilliantly.

You've also fleshed out your characters in ways the books didn't while, again, making them feel canon-centric.  In fact, I love how character-driven this story is as a whole, while still feeling rapid-paced and exciting.

I'm greatly looking forward to reading what's to come!  Thank you very much!

Author's Response:

Wow, another one sent by Min.  She's pimping. LOL!  And thank you!  I'm especially glad that they seem like they could be logical developments from what we saw in the novels.  That's what I was striving for!  And I'm relieved the story isn't dragging.  It's long, so that's good to know!  We're getting near the end soon!

Reviewer: Daylen (Signed) · Date: July 12, 2009 12:02 AM · On: Chapter 49

That was an enjoyable combination of serious discussion with lightheartedness (not even sure if that's a word, but it gets the idea across, I guess!)

I'm still waiting for the talk about accidents and Bella's Change/Not Change policy with Edward...

Author's Response:

Thank you!  And the change/no-change is coming ...

another great part : )

Author's Response:

Thanks!

Reviewer: Chalice Cullen (Signed) · Date: July 11, 2009 11:51 PM · On: Chapter 49

Ahh that last paragraph.. the foreshadowing.. subtle but there in black and white. There will be an accident, won't there? Bella will be "this close" to death and Edward will have to make the decision for her..

to let her die human, broken, and follow her soon after

-or-

to change her knowing that she may be broken in eternal death..

What a mind job? It's gonna be heartwrenching either way. Don't make it too perfect, don't make it pretty and happily ever after. Part of me thinks she should die human. I just don't see how Edward could make that decision knowing he can have forever with her..

Author's Response:

I am a fan of "realistic" HEA. :-)  That's all I'll say.

I've been reading this story since December, when Minisinoo recommended I give it a try, and I, in turn, have recommended it to many others. And yet I don't think I've left a single review, and my conscience is finally poking at me. I have to admit, it probably isn't something I would've given a chance if someone whose opinion I value so much hadn't suggested it, so I'm especially glad Min pointed me towards it.

This story is sheer brilliance. It's so very different from any other fic out there, and I'm blown away by the fact that you don't seem to have as large a following as you deserve. So I just wanted to let you know much I've been enjoying, despite my lack of reviews.

Author's Response:

Oh, wow!  Thank you very much!  How cool!  I really owe Min for helping me with this.  I'd never have got the plot ironed out otherwise, so I'm really blown away that you think it's good!

I think it calls into question some things in the book that some readers really like, and that's probably why it's not as popular.  I can sort of understand that, although part of why I wrote it was because those things were bugging me, so ...

Reviewer: SusanL (Signed) · Date: July 11, 2009 06:37 PM · On: Chapter 49

Your pacing on this story is wonderful.  I love how you don't rush things.  Their conversation covers so many things, but it isn't rushed.  And, the things they cover are things that need to be discussed.  I love the attention to the details of their lives.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  And I'm glad it isn't dragging too much.  Things will speed up soon.

Is ti strange that I squeal like a little girl when I see that I have an In the Blink update in my inbox??

I simply adore this. And that's about all I have to say. This trip that you have taken Edward and Bella on is amazing and I cannot wait to see what else you have in store for us!

Thanks again for writing something so refreshing and so beautifully thought-out and worded!

Author's Response:

Hee!  Thank you so much!  On all counts!

Great chapter!  I love some of the things they address.  It is nice to see Edward grown.

Author's Response:

Thanks!  And yeah, he's ready to be a husband. :-)

Reviewer: SinAndShame (Signed) · Date: July 11, 2009 04:37 PM · On: Chapter 49

Each and every chapter brings a new depth to this story.  It is simply wonderful.  Thoughtful and sincere.  Bravo.

Author's Response:

Thank you!

Reviewer: aylag (Signed) · Date: July 11, 2009 04:01 PM · On: Chapter 49

Thanks for the update. Edward truly is "growing up" in his thinking as a couple instead of making decisions on his own.
I am voting for her to be changed but love the quandry you have given of if that would "heal" her paralysis. I have a hard time imagining how difficult it would be for Bella to age while she watches an unchanging husband. Then again I suspect if she retained her paralysis after being changed that Edward would feel great guilt UNLESS it was a mutual decision and not just an accident. I can't wait to see where you go with this!

~Ayla

Author's Response:

Thank you!  And yes, I think it'll need to be a mutual decision -- EITHER way.

Reviewer: jilburfm (Signed) · Date: July 11, 2009 03:29 PM · On: Chapter 49

They're never going to have that conversation, are they?   She'll be laying on the ground after that angry beater husband shoots her and Edward won't know what to do.  It'll be a delish angst-fest.

Author's Response:

Hmmmm....

Reviewer: Capricorn75 (Signed) · Date: July 11, 2009 03:21 PM · On: Chapter 49

Oh, procrastinating Bella. No good is going to come of that....

... 0.o ...

Lovely...but a feel a change a comin'...

Author's Response:

Hee.  I think you might be right ...

Reviewer: chrom (Signed) · Date: July 11, 2009 02:06 PM · On: Chapter 49

thanks for the update! your story is really matured, "grown up" both style and themes. and it really deserves appraisal.srsly :-)

i am sooo thinking now about postponing the conversation about "accidents" and the vision that Alice had... usually when you hesitate with such big things they tend to blow up in the face...

Author's Response:

Ha.  No comment on the postponing ...

And thank you!  I'm glad the story feels mature and real.  That's really what I was hoping I could manage!

Reviewer: princesspeach (Signed) · Date: July 11, 2009 01:37 PM · On: Chapter 49

Even though it was short, it was another great chapter!
