I didn't read the disclaimer so I was like, 'This sounds a hell of a lot like Speak'.lol.  My bad. I'm with Edward, I don't really get why she forgave them all so quickly for blowing her off.

Also, one thing, when Bella was retelling the story, it felt a bit too descriptive for dialogue (personally).  I felt something that descriptive would have just done better as a flashback or trimmed it down if you really wanted it as dialogue.  That's my two cents anyway.  Still going in the favourites.=]

The idea of this story is great! the way you reversed Edward's and Bella's roles were fantastic.

Now for the constructive critisism-
In SM's view, Bella wouldn't be very open about what happened to her. So it would probably take a few months for her to even having full on conversations with him. And I don't think it would be in her character to let her old friends who have abandoned her about the incident. You cought on to Edwards personality with out a hitch, so feel good about that. Not many people can get him right.

just some tips to help with your future works. I hope to read more of your stuff soon!

This is unrealistic. There is no way people would be so stupid and cruel. But appart from unrealistic, it is a good story, good try. I am looking forward to another.

I enjoyed this - thank you !

However, to be completely honest I found the portrayal of the 'friends' to be inconsistent as they repeatedly displayed a low level of emotional / empathetic maturity (for example: making assumptions about their good friend and then abandoning her, ostrasising Edward when he befriended the outcast and laughing at Edward when he told them about his virginity) and then distinctly more mature advise for Edward... it feels incogruous. It is not just because these four characters usually portrayed more loyal and mature but that, within the framework you created, they seem dualistic in a way that doesn't make much sense. Of course, given the same examples of their fickleness and lack of any characteristics denoting 'true friendship' I wonder at either Edward or Bella wanting to make any effort to regain such a spoty friendship; let alone trusting those who had shown themselves very unworthy of trust with a very emotionally sensitive event, one that had caused her to be silent for more than a year. So while I think it was a good story - perhaps in future a deeper examination of character motivation would be beneficial.
