awesome chapter, as always sam! i love dove's "are you SURE?" that was perfect! i also love that she holds edward accountable and forces him to justify his what-appears-to-be asshole-ish actions.

i wanted to leave this in my review for last chapter, but twilighted was being weird: i like the fact that alice and dove aren't instant best friends. okay, i get that alice can see the future, blah blah blah whatever. but alice's, edward's, and their family's existence is on the line, so naturally she should be quite hesitant about how much dove knows, and therefore, not ready to trust dove yet. i think your pacing of dove's relationships with both alice and edward are great!

oh yeah, yay jake!

I can't walk away from a button. Especially one that I just know will make a delicious clicking sound. Too tempting...and so incredibly satisfying when I just give in. So here you go. This is me giving in to temptation.

P.S. Dove is an awesome name. Love the story so far, but I find Edward increasingly frustrating. It took him 6 whole chapters just to kiss her on the cheek! Honestly. I've known people with relationships that went faster than that. I suppose it would be somewhat unrealistic, despite what we fanfiction-fanatics are used to, for them to just jump in the sack...

But sparkly vampires are also pretty unrealistic, so why not fantacize? ;)

About Edward, I chose to make him like the real books in that regard. I think there's something irresistable about deprevation, but don't worry, Dove will break him down soon ;)

Amazing! I mean, I probably should have been studying for the past couple hours instead of catching up on this story to Chapter 5, but it was totally worth it.

People do seem to prefer ExB stories, but where's the fun in that? I personally prefer something like this, it's just so hard to find on this site. Do a specific search for stories with "Other Character" and Edward or someone else and it just ends up being Twilight with a random person added in who doesn't really affect the main pairings, which I had thought was the point of those character drop boxes...

Anyway, just wanted to say that I intend to check back on this soon, so I'm hoping it'll be updated...

Uuupdate it! *intimidating glare* hehe that always makes me think of Homer :P

Aw, :). Yeah there certainly are a lot of EXB stories, but that's understandable. I wanted to write a twilight story, but it's kind of all been done, so... enter Dove. You should chck back on it RIGHT NOW, cause chappie 6 is up!

BWAHHAHHAHA I loved the Chapter End Notes. The first two lines made my day completely.

Cute chapter, which Edward would stop acting like such a pain and learn to use his words (his real ones, not the ones he writes) I think he at least owes her that.

And to be honest, I only started reading this story because none of my other stories had updated (like 3 chapters ago) and I really wasn't sure I was going to like Dove, but I do.

ugh, "oh my!" is right! that was the BEST reveal ever. if stephanie meyer could read this, i'm sure she'd be screaming "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?!" at her computer monitor. i know i've said it, like, a thousand times, but sam, dude, you're awesome! dove is SO great, and i really love the way you've taken edward and done your own thing with him. you're true to his character, but there's something else there that just makes him even better than the original.

ah, so now i finally get the "green, red, orange, blue" thing. that threw me for a bit of a loop during the last chapter (totally never noticed that while watching the movie. hence you being the one in film school haha). i enjoyed the skipping class bit--it gave us a chance to get to know dove a bit better. i can't wait to see what you do with her. and on kind of a sidenote, i love the last line or so. "some sort of enjoyment, some completely new and strange fulfillment....extraordinary." i'm kind of a freak for the way certain words sound alone and/or together, and that all flows so beautifully and just intensifies the wonder of his new discovery. in short, i read that sentence a couple of times over because i loved it so much.
