Jessica is a sore loser! She couldn't even get the jock table interested in herself before Bella came along either---did you notice that too?! Jessica certainly was flighty, too; jockeying her attentions between Edward and Jasper! Look what trouble she would have caused in the Cullen household if she had dated Edward and Jasper at the same time! Yuck! Thank God Jessica never stood a chance against Bella and Alice! Jessica's pre-occupation with her looks reminded me of Rosalie's vanity---only Rosalie had more beauty, class and self-confidence; she didn't hurt nor use anyone to get attention!
I forgot that Edward had driven so fast from the restaurant to Bella's home that night when he admitted that he was a vampire! Frankly, NoMoreThanUsual, I thought you were going to: 1) have Alice forseeing Jessica's intentions to make trouble and confiding this info to Edward; 2) then all Cullen brothers and sisters would confer with Edward ---allowing the Cullens to smear egg on Jessica's face for being so underhanded, via Edward's escorting Bella to school in his Volvo as proof of his deep interest in Bella only --even though Jasper and Rosalie weren't so favorable about Bella as Edward's sweetheart; 3) Alice would steal into Bella's house and, unbeknownst to Charlie---fake Bella's voice on the phone (---arranging for Jessica's return of Bella's jacket the next morning,) and offer a few inconsequential tidbits about the restaurant meal to seal the set-up against Jessica's "big discovery" ploy! I was hoping for a bigger defeat of Jessica's poison! You still did an excellent job of displaying her mercenary tactics!

What a schemer Jessica is! I'm pleased Bella never gave Jessica too many juicy tidbits in Twilight ( and your story too,). I always felt some of those delicious first feelings alone with Edward in the Volvo and the restaurant deserved to be Bella's private treasure! Those feelings of mutual attraction and potential first romance are so precious in every woman's life! I'm sure Bella always felt more, but wisely, didn't tell Jessica everything!

Gee Jessica, a bit of dirt on your nose? Good! I've got some sneaking suspicions about Alice's/Jasper's/ Rosalie's and Emmett's involvements regarding Jessica's plans; and of course, our Edward could read Jessica's thoughts about all the Cullens all along! I already have some ideas about how the Cullen family loyalties and psychic/paranormal abilities wil defeat Jessica's machinations! I can't wait to see Jessica get more dirt thrown back into her face! Edward's prior plan to escort Bella to school in his Volvo that morning inadvertenly ( or purposely,) caused exta interest beyond Jessica's planting trouble for Bella and Edward! Serves Jessica right!! LOL!!!

Jessica, you witch! Poor, sweet, innocent Bella doesn't know the real Jessica; or does she!? In SM's Twilight, Bella was never completely thrilled with Jessica---Bella would trust that intuition of hers and judge right every time, thank goodness! This was a nasty insight into short-sighted, petty Jessica! What a tiny world high school was! Well done!

I read the story during break in my office. I laughed so loud everyone truned to stare thinking I've lost my mind from the work stress!
Love the story, very very entertaining and yet in depth with Jessica's insights. No wonder Edward was compelled to protect Bella from her friend's evil thoughts. Thank you for the great work!

I loved it! I enjoyed how you expanded on her egocentric personality, that's totally how I interpreted her in the Twilight books/ Midnight Sun.
I also loved how you added the Jasper element in there, too funny!
