Still love this story.  Keep it coming on!

Reviewer: maiseypattinson (Signed) · Date: May 28, 2011 11:34 PM · On: It's Going to be a Long Weekend

Oh noes..... this is not good at all.

I'm not sure why Bella all of a sudden believes that she is more invested than Edward in their relationship.  I guess his intention on 'honoring her request' is backfiring and now she just feels neglected and unloved.......

I really hope that they work this out and Bella actually tells him what she is thinking - hopefully there won't be any need for the Nana pj's tomorrow night! xx

HOLY HOT SEX IN A CONFERENCE ROOM!  Loving this story, onto the next chapter!

She needs to tell him how she feels. Then she would know for sure and she can move on or whatever. They both really need to communicate with each other. Edward is just as guilty.

thank you thank you...thank you so much

Reviewer: CatWhit (Signed) · Date: April 12, 2011 10:12 AM · On: Dinner Plans

You had asked me, after my review for "frustration", what I thought about the diner scene earlier on.   In looking for that, I found a perfect example of tribute to the source in your writing...

Emmett rolled his eyes.  “Rose isn’t blind.  You should see the two of you when you’re together.  It’s like she’s an extension of you.  Or you’re an extension of her.  If one of you moves, the other does.  It’s kinda’ freaky how in tune you two are.”

Why I think this is so nicely done is because

A: you're taking the same material from Eclipse and putting it in a different person's mouth

B: The situation isn't the same.  Instead of commenting on the intensity of Bella's relationship, the tribute quote is being used to show Edward how much she cares

C: (and most importantly) You used the meaning but did very little direct wording from the source.

I'd be willing to bet you weren't even consciously doing it.

So, because you asked for it, there's my two cents on paying tribute to the source material in fan-fiction.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the example.  It clarifies your previous concern and helps me understand better what you like as far as canon reference and what you see as too much.  I'm sure you're not the only person who feels this way, but you are the only one who reached out to me and attempted to explain your feelings.  Thank you again!!

Loved you play on the BD "morning after".  God, these two need to be less stubborn.  Bella refusing to drop the teaching idea and Edward deciding to abstain for an undetermined amount of time.  Let's hope this romantic getaway clears up the problems.  Can't wait to see what happens!

could remind me where the diner scene was, so I can re-read it again and give you a solid answer?

thx

Author's Response:

Sure! Chapter 30, Reconciliation in Three Acts.  Thank you. :)

I Much prefer to read your own creative work.  You integrated BD well, but if I want to read BD, I'll go pick up BD.

Author's Response:

Thank you for expressing your opinion in a thoughtful and polite manner.  I had one other reader disagree with my decision to incorporate the canon scene in this chapter and she was neither thoughtful nor polite.  As you can imagine, I'm much more interested in your thoughts and feelings than hers.  I do have a question for you.  What was your opinion of the scene from the diner?  (Where Edward takes Bella to a diner for breakfast after a late night.)  That scene was similar to the first scene of this chapter in that I pulled it from Twilight/Midnight Sun.  If that scene didn't bother you can you tell me why?  I'm trying to determind how much canon is "too much canon."  Thank you for reading and reviewing.  If you prefer you can answer me on my message board here at Twilighted. Best, IT
