I'm really enjoying the historical elements that you're building into this story. It gives it an added dimension that is really captivating. Imagine being over 600 years old! It makes Carlisle seem like a teenager in comparison.

This chapter is the perfect example of why I adore Theda. She's able to hold her feelings in check (well, save the Volvo which I still think was just brilliantly symbolic), turn Edward's skewed logic on itself and make him see his assumptions and erroneous beliefs for what they really are. How, dare I say it, mature. I love seeing Edward in this kind of relationship and can't wait to see how it changes him.  And, like our PM conversations about OCs over on ff.net,  this is a great example of a situation where the OC absolutely must have a detailed backstory to make the relationship translate successfully and you did it again!

I'm all pouty, though, about your slow-down. Real life, shmeal life. Doesn't your Beta know you have readers, dammit!? Aw, you know I'll pine away, regardless.

Haha, I tried to tell her, but I'm lucky to have a few chapters in reserve...she's had one of them for about a month now, though, so I think I should track that one down, lol!  They just might slow down to a week and a half or something...nothing major.  

I'm so happy to see you over here!  I have your story on my "must read" list, and I'm glad to see you've migrated to Twilighted.  Although Jasper and Carlisle have pointed out similar things to Edward before, hearing it from Theda herself was kind of a wake-up call for Edward.  Hearing that Theda won't think he's a monster from Carlisle and hearing it from Theda were two different things entirely.  He's slowly coming out of his shell...things will be much more positive from now on.

Eeee! *Happy Dance*  That was the perfect connect time for Theda and Edward!  It was beautiful, sweet, romantic and it cleared the damn air!  Yeah! Now we can move on to conquer the road to a romance and learn to deal with personal baggage together!  :p woot!  And that comment about lemons in future chapters draws closers!!! eEEE! 

I was very impressed with this chapter, of course it was well written and such (Your's always are!), but the characters jumped off the screen and made me physically smile and giggle.  Heh, my husband and dog think I am nuts :)  I just love this story, and Theda <3 and Edward <3!  Thanks so much for the update, I look forward to yours all week!  So... *rambles on gushing and complementing* ...

I'm so happy you liked it!  Don't worry about looking like a weirdo to the hubby and dog...my husband thinks I should be committed when I read fanfic, lol!  

I know there was a lot of talking in this chapter, but it needed to be done, and I'm glad they came alive for you.  They're getting to be on the same page, now, and the next chapter will reveal some more.  They're just starting to really get to know each other.  And at least they had a nice trip to the lake, right?  Yes, the lemons (yes, PLURAL) are approaching...I'm as excited as you are, trust me!  *MWAH!*

Oh, and I'll be starting to work on an outline for a new multi-chapter story, so don't forget to add me to your "favorite author" list for when I start to write and post.  Then, you'll get an email when I do!  Don't worry...KS isn't over yet, and these two still have a little ways to go.  :-)

Don't be sorry about the Volvo, it was perfect!  I would have wanted to "destroy" something of his just as much! Theda's human reactions and then her rationalizations I love (I can so relate!).  I was glad Edward didn't get upset about his damn car, he did deserve it. 

I liked Rose's support, it was her and not out of character.   You did a great job of staying true to the characters in this chapter, it is always refreshing when authors are able to put SM characters in their plot without wrapping them.  You do a great job of that.

*blushes* Thanks so much, bb!  Theda's reaction was pretty over-the-top, but I honestly can't say I would have acted much differently under the circumstances.  I'm so happy to hear that she's easy to relate to.  That's what I was going for.  

I'm glad you liked my Rose in this chapter.  She was more of a peripheral character in this one, but important nonetheless.  I actually loved writing the Alice scene at the end...for some reason it's one of my favorite scenes in the whole story.  I tried hard not to skew the Cullens into something that they're not...a lot of the time they end up as parodies of themselves, and I really didn't want that.  I wanted to keep them true to SM's universe, and it makes me so happy that you noticed.  

The next chapter will be decidedly more positive and have some progression...I promise I'm not trying to cockblock you, but the time isn't quite right for hot vamp lovin'.  If they just hopped into bed now, it wouldn't be believable.  They have some things to sort out first :-)
