Reviews For Seduction

Reading Edward's side of this scene made me so much more aware to the variety of emotions going back and forth between them.  This is one of the only scenes in all four books where I felt there was some depth and reality to their relationship.  There was so little actual conflict between them that they didn't seem real.  You painted their relationship as being so --forgive me-- human.

YAY! Okay so this is my fave one shot ever and shocker, no smut! I am such a Catholic school girl too.

Usually I would post something about fave lines or parts but there are TOO many; I was just laughing and squeeing like crazy at everything. I am glad I chose to read this on a holiday so no one could be around to hear me  laugh or torture my dog with high pitched shrieks.

Once again, simply abfab!

hahaha - thanks so much!  I'm glad you're enjoying all my ramblings - thanks for all the reviews!  8-)

Oh this is lovely. Such a gift that Edward can't hear Bella's thoughts and such a pity. It's always such a wonderuflly poignant sad to read his POV. Wonderful to see him joyful, with her agreeing to be his wife.

I think this was one of the first stories I read at Twilighted.net and I don't know if I reveiwed it or not so just in case, here it goes. YOU ARE THE BOMB! *g* Yes, this scene from Edward's POV was beautifully written and so Edward. Being a Catholic School girl myself, I totally understand the total innocence there. I feel very close to Edward in his opinion of Jacob as well. My friend doesn't understand my negative feelings for the wolf but I do. grrr. I have you in my Favorite authors because I fall right into your stories the way I did Stephenie's Twilight series. Thank God for fan fiction because when you finish that series, you feel like a addict. You have to find more and fast. Thank you for writing in the world of Vegetarian Vampires and Werewolves. I appreciate your time and hard work. :)

This was absolutely amazing. You captured Edward's Point of View perfectly here. Ch. 20 in Eclipse is one of my favorite chapters in the entire series, and I'm glad I got the chance to read what you thought was going through Edward's mind. I truely think that no one else could've written this better...except for Stephenie Meyer. lol.

One thing I noticed here was how much Bella actually hurt Edward by refusing his proposal. In the saga, you don't really see it, but it's clear as day here. I never really understood why Bella was so opposed to marrying Edward- he's the perfect guy for her. And whenever I read Eclipse, the scenes that she was with Jacob always bothered me- especially the day of the newborn fight, and she asked Jacob to kiss her. Right here, everyone could see how much she hurt him. And Edward's right- marriage shouldn't be a compermise. In all honesty, I'm surprised that she didn't say "yes" right away when he first proposed in New Moon. I would have. :)

I'll wrap this sucker up by saying this: You're an amazing writer. Don't give it up. Maybe one day you'll be published. :)

OH MY EDWARD!!!  Blondie, gosh, I've just gone beyond superlatives in my mind.  What a beautifully, wonderfully written work of fanfic! You haven't let this fan down...I also was hoping to read Stephanie's chapter of EC from Edward's POV...and you Blondie, have done it to perfection!!  Seduction is an incredible gift, and I thank you very, very much.

Just one quick cocmment, I think when Stephenie wrote, "you can covet what is already yours" She ment that it isn't a sin to covet what you already own, not that you physically can or can't.  I thought a lot about that statement trying to make sense out of it too, it's worded very oddly.  They were talking about all of the things that Edward had done that were considered sins and so if you want something you already own it is no sin to want it still hence you can covet what you own without sinning. As usual I love your writing! Thanks so much.  I don't ususally come to this site because well, you know how I am with the "M" rated stuff but I found that you had this story here so I did.  I couldn't find it on fanfiction.net Keep writing 'cuz I really love reading.  I also loved the latest Dark Side update.  My sister just read all of the Twilight books and she, like most of us, wanted more I told her about your stories and she has been reading them and is absolutely in love with them too.  We get together and discuss them all the time.  It is the first time that I've really had anything in common with this particular sister.  I'm the oldest of 7 and she is second to youngest so there is such an age difference that we simply haven't been living in the same time period.  I left for college when she went to kindergarten.  But your stories have really helped our relationship and bonded us together, I'm so grateful to you.  We've always had a super close family but the age thing is a force to be reckoned with.  I'm 40 now with teenagers and she is still having babies.  Thanks again for closing the gap it's been so great! Have a super day!

Author's Response:

Wow - I'm blown away!  What an amazing review.  I think the credit has to go to Stephenie for creating such a wonderful world, and for letting us play in it.  I've made a bunch of friends and connections I'd never imagined because of twilight - if someone had told me I'd even consider writing a fiction story five years ago I would have laughed in their face.  But thank you so much...I'm humbled.

The coveted thing is just weird.  I'm guessing that it works both ways, but sincie I'd always read it as 'can't', well that's what worked for me.  I'm sure we could start a forum on SM's word usage!  8-)

WGR is actually on fanfiction - but as you noted, it's rated M.  It's kind of a borderline story - and I'd rather err on the side of caution.  Fruit Cots and English Cucumbers isn't quite as graphic, so it ended up T.  Translating between the two rating systems is a pain sometimes!  If only they had 'R' over on ff!

Thank you again for all your comments and reviews.  Words like these are more than inspiration, they truly do make my day!

hugs!

who was the teacher on the list??

Author's Response:

It was Mr. Banner, the biology teacher.  SM explained that he had kind of a thing for Bella (probably like the way Mrs. Cope thougth about Edward) during an interview in Germany.

I touch on it a little more in my story Dark Side of the Moon, in the chapter Año Nuevo.

Thanks for reading!

Wow.  Great Job!

I'm newer to the whole Twilight world (it took my husband a lot of coaxing), and when I first discovered fanfiction, I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it (I guess I'm afraid of things not being "right" - I like everyone to stay true to form from the books, acting and thinking like they were originally written).  But, you captured your story so well.  And it *feels* right to me.  You have an obvious gift, Thanks for sharing!

I've read this a few times now (it's wonderful) and am struck each time by how many wounds Bella inflicts upon Edward.  We see it in the Saga's books, but you illustrate them so poignantly, here.  And, too, you have captured the unique aged-teen aspect of his character.  The length of time he's been around juxtaposed with his boyish enthusiasm.

It's wonderful.  Still. :)  Yep, I'll probably have to read it again. lol

Wow!  Loved it!!  (As I love all of your Edward stories).  Thank you so much for painting this scene from his perspective for us.  It was so romantic and so perfect.  I have been anxiously awaiting this story--so happy JA requested it from you and agreed to let you share it with us!

OMG I absolutely loooved this one shot! I mean the scene in Eclipse is adorable, as we all know already, but it made it even more adorable to see it through Edward's eyes! I love the little DSOTM touches you put in there too by the way :).  I love it, I love it, I love it, as per usual with your pieces!

PS Edward not wanting to "defile" her = super duper adorable :)

Reviewer: KissinCullens (Signed) · Date: May 30, 2009 10:37 AM · On: Seduction

Fantastic! You really do get the characters. I hope you choose to write all of Eclipse from Edwards POV, i doubt anyone could do a better job with it than you Blondie!

10 out of 10 all the way!

Re: the covet issue.

I think it's more- you're allowed to covet what belongs to you- it's not a sin.  At least that's the only way it ever made sense to me.

Love this!  You did such a great job reading Edwards thoughts.  I had to remind myself that it wasn't SM's writing.  Great job!!

Poor out of touch Edward. This was great, blondie, seriously. I really enjoyed it. For some reason

"You're unbelievable."

No, I'm mythical.
