Author's Response: I have no intention of messing with the pairings at all. Jasper's just going to be a little more focused on in the first three or four chapters due to his talent and then help he will be providing Bella and the rest of the family. Keep reading. My stories tend to read like old country roads - lots of twists, turns and hidden paths. ^_~

I am an avowed hurt/comfort addict, and this is one of the best I have ever read. It's heart-wrenching yet hopeful, with beautifully articulated emotions shown by all characters. Excellent story so far with a very interesting premise. Well-written and intensely captivating. You've done SUCH a good job capturing Bella's fear and grief, as well as the heartache of the Cullens and even Jacob. I just love Esme and you've given her compassion such a wonderful voice. Even Jasper, whom I largely ignore, is compelling here. I'm wondering, though, how he got home before the others if he was with Alice when she realized something bad had happened. Perhaps that will be explained, though. Also, wanted to point out that you spelled Emmett with an "i" (Emmitt) quite a few times throughout the chapter. A minor detail, to be certain, but still a little distracting.
Anyway, I can't wait to see where you take this. With your incredible writing, it's sure to be an amazing trip. UPDATE SOON!!!!
Author's Response: This story started out very much like how Stephanie said the books started - one very intense, ver vivid dream. Buckets of caffine later, and here it is. I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! Chapter 2 should be up fairly soon, and thank you for the Emmett/Emmitt point out. I guarantee you, half the time I don't notice I've done it.

This is a really great first chapter. I just wanted to wrap Bella up and hug her tight, even if it really wouldn't make that much of a different. I'm glad that Emmett was looking out t he window and saw her & that Jasper ran as fast as he could to get there and help.
