What a little tease! But I wonder if she'd be like this after being beaten. She's so open and flirty, you would think she'd shy away from him. I like it but it's just got me thinking.
Author's Response: I haven't gone over her life after James in detail. But after she left, it was just her and Ellie for six months. Yes, she was beaten, but she's also hasn't felt the way Edward makes her feel in a long time. Since before she left James. So think of it this way, she feels comfortable, she feels beautiful all because of this man. So I'd like to think she would revel in the attention.

Hopefully it doesn't involve leaving poor Ellie with Edward while Bella does time in the clank and utilizes her training to avoid her overbearing and lustful cellmate, Leah.

Glad to see that you are still writing this.
So, Bella has a few tricks up her sleeve? I'm glad she got her shots in at Carlisle. Whatever happened to him over the years has made him desperate enough to use a mother and child in danger, that's not good. I hope he doesn't know or hear about the underground search for Bella.
Next chapter is Renee and Alice? Awesome! I've been wondering what they are up to and if they have run into any trouble along the way.

Wow, I haven't read this in a while. What is wrong with me? Okay, so is this the first time we've heard about Edward feeling guilty about a little boy or is there something I should be remembering? I can't imagine the memories that flashes in her eyes when Edward grabs her wrists. Poor Bella. Great chapter!

I love how the threat that someone has a bounty out there for Bella and Ellie has created a new wrinkle of who to trust within the Pack and within the family. I also love the small peak into the vulnerable side of Bella that came out this chapter with Edward. I understand Carlisle has lost a lot because of Edward pulling him into his life, but I am surprised that he would use a child and her mother to get back his life. Thanks for updating! I look forward to what is going to happen next.
