I LOVED this chapter!
though I realllllly wanted to see what was going through Edward's mind as Carlisle explained everything to himm, I liked seeing it all through Carlisle's clinical eye. he catches everything, and he loves Esme so much.
can't wait to read some more of your awesome writing!

OMG *points to massive shout out* That wasn't necessary, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing so! I bounced in my seat the whole time and couldn't help but squeal out loud. I'm pretty sure you've heard this already, but you deserve all three nominations and so much more. I wish I could just send you flowers via airmail or something for this fantastic story, but those will just have to do. You're amazing, and you really need to give yourself more credit! :)
But, the chapter. GAH, I loved Emmett and his way of lightening up the situation. Carlisle's reliance on Esme was written well, too. I'm preparing myself for when Bella wakes up and sees the Cullens. I know that's going to be one hell of a code red. For me, at least. *breathes deeply*

Author's Response: Ok, here's the biggest hint I've given out... I've written 32 chapters and Bella and Edward still haven't met *awake*. That doe NOT mean there is no communication (we've seen their connection in a few chapters), but they haven't yet spoken. When they do, it's going to hurt...
Even their scenes I have written are hard to read and hell if they were not hard to write.
As for you, little missy, you rock my socks. Seriously. No one but the CR girls have championed this tale as you have and I am SO grateful and honoured and GAH! I heart you!

I liked that you acknowledged that Esme is Carlisle's source of strength. Another great chapter.
Author's Response: Esme and Carlisle are foreshadowing as to what Bella and Edward could and *should* be. They are wonderful role models, in this story.

the build up is tremendous!!!!!!!!!!!! i am so anxious to read the hospital scene....please please please......can the cullens please quit calling it bella's child and say their grandchild or edward's child? they all need to make that acceptance because the baby is just as much edward's as it is bella's.
Author's Response: Don't worry. The acknowledgement is definitely made. I think, to this point, their distance is not because they don't *want* the child, but because they are afraid there will be no child. They are trying to keep their distance to preserve their sanity. Not right or wrong, but that's why.... It makes more sense in the next chapters.
Don't worry. They step up to the plate in big ways.

Getting good. I like that Edward was relying on his mom's strength. Nice connection there. I also liked how Edward gave in to his family's opinion about what was best. We'll see if it actually works out that way or not!

Author's Response: It's so true. Edward's family, in a real life situation, probably wouldn't have left. But this story had to take off from New Moon, so I chose this to be the launching pad....

this was a great chapter, and im glad to see that edward is starting to pull himself together. but one can only wonder how long it will last once he is able to see bella. and i almost cried at the description of alice hugging her knees in the backseat while crying. im not sure and i know its your story, but i think we should be able to hear from bella next, so that way, she just happens to wakeup while carlisle is checking her condition. i wouldluv to know what going thru her head. will she be angry, will she cry and be thankful, will she be ashamed?? thats the questions that i have as of now. i also wonder how much longerit will be til edward gets to talk to bella
Author's Response: Well, regardless, you will *get* the look into Bella's poor mind. It is not next, but you will get it. Please be aware that it's VERY hard to read.
We will finally make it to the hospital next.
Edward has started to make the transformation into who and what he needs to be, but he has SO mcuh to go.

This chapter wasn't so bad. I'd like to hear what Angela has to say when Edward, Alice and Carlisle get to the hospital. And I'm really looking forward to hearing Edward's thoughts when he sees Bella pregnant for the first time...I can imagine him apologizing to the baby in her stomach for not being there.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear from Alice next.
Very glad to see that Edward was so quick to make his decision about how to handle things. He's showing immense maturity and control in the face of a completely overwhelming situation. I hope he can continue to remember that he needs to put the welfare of Bella and his baby before his need to make things right.
