this is a ripper story- i read it in one sitting straight through to here. i particularly like emmett in this incarnation!!
but please, dont let edward come up with a name as hideously bad as SM. i think that would have to be the weakest -and by far the weakest- aspect of all 4 twilight books, and the hideousness of it is crowned by that unbelievably stupid name!!(rant of the day over!!)

Yet another beautiful chapter. I hope you don't keep Bella in that coma for too long. I know it's necessary to keep the reality of the story but I miss our self-less heroine!
I don't know whether you answered this question yet or not but are you naming the baby Reneesme?
I like Jasper. I like your version of Jasper. Most people make him this sensitive little creature when the truth is, he lived through a lot and it would probably have an effect on him. I think your version is more believable.

Jasper - I adore him. He is extremely sensitive in this story and actually has one of the best handles on where everyone is throughout the tale. However, this doesn't make him weak or quiet. It just makes him... vigilant. The rest of his personality is just... well, unique!

I am starting to believe I'm a masocist... or at least have masocistic tendancies. Once again, your story has me in tears and I still keep reading. Alice being so happy about getting to name the baby really bugged me though. I get that it's part of her personality to always be so upbeat and excited, but Bella's in a coma and Edward's resistant to naming her on his own for a reason. Then again, Alice usually bugs me with being so upbeat because I'm the exact opposite.
I'm also super happy to hear it's not usually this long between updates. I just started reading this story after chapter 30, so I wasn't sure how often you usually update. I can't wait for the next chapter!!
Author's Response: I understand your point about Alice. But she hasn't forgotten Bella in the least. She just feels that the onus for keeping everyone afloat belongs on her. In her mind, she's decided Bella will be okay, so she's focusing on the positive in hopes that the others will be lifted as well.

All I can think about right now is Alice's reaction to becoming an aunt. I was the EXACT same way when I became an aunt though the circumstances were not tragic in the least. Bouncing up and down and all. :)
This truly is a wonderfully touching story. I found it last night, and have spent the morning reading these last few chapters.... I've managed to control the tears, but barely! Daddy Edward is beyond sweet.
