Aww Oh my gosh I totally LOVED this chapter! It was compltely relatable to how my family is when when the girls gang up on the guys..very sweetly of course to get what we want lol. That was really cute. It was totally how I pictured Edward reacting to Elizabeths date, and of course it was Jake :) Omg im soo sad its almost all done :( AMAZING!!!!!!!

Author's Response:

I am so glad you enjoyed it!  It is definitely bittersweet, but it had to end sometime:)

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Wow Elizabeths friends are all smushing over daddy ! (you'd prob say swooning ,but ,here in the UK smushing !)

How sweet are Edward and Bela ,Go girls they have ALL the power !

Great to 'hear' Angelas voice again ,kinda coming full circle here !

Are we having homecoming next or are we jumping further ahead to Granpa Edward and Granma Bella ?????

Can't wait ,its kinda like sweet n sour eh ?

Finishing the story ?

Were all out here urging you on . Be proud ot what you have written !

Till next time

Author's Response:

I wrote the last chapter on Saturday - well, finished it.  It should be up soon.  While it's a relief and a sense of accomplishment, it's so sad to let these kids go...

The last epilogue is further in the future than this....

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Love. It. I don't want you to finish writing about them either! :) I want to be THIS kind of Cullen. Elizabeth is perfect- proud and independent but not so much that she's over done. She's just the right mix of good-girl and normal teenager. It's great! I do feel that a lot of people get Edward and Bella's child wrong...they make her too good or too damn stubborn or even unkind. Hello-she was raised by the Cullens- no way would she be rude to her parents, she would love them but she wouldn't just give in to them either. Thanks, you rock!

Author's Response:

Like everything else about this story, I tried, wherever possible, to keep it real.  Elizabeth is a good kid, but she's no angel (and definitely no deliquent).  She's just a normal kid with normal teenage habits and a great family:)

Haha cougar pen, I love it! I love that you put Jake with Elizabeth. Too cute! Hehe and Bella still wins everytime. With help of showing the girls of course. Great job! I am going to miss this story! Can't believe there is only one more epilogue left! Wow! Doesn't seem possible!

Author's Response:

I finally finished it Saturday and it made me cry on and off all day.  It's so hard to let these kids go....

I'm glad to see that Edward and Bella still have their passion after all these years.  Even though you didn't name their daughter Renesmee I had a feeling that Jake would make an appearance... eventually.  I love these epilogues because we can find out what the family is up to.  Jasper wasn't mentioned much though. :-(  Can we have some Jazz in the last chapter?  Please?

Author's Response:

Alas, dear Jasper is done.  He is mentioned in the last chapter, but is not a focus.  I could write him all day long, but he's not the focus of this particular story.  I miss him too :(

I liked Elizabeth's characterisation of Edward: "Captain-Get-thee-to-the-Nunnary". Pretty accurate! So is his adamant dislike of Jake—love how you worked him in as Elizabeth's love interest.

And I loved Bella's tactics at distracting Edward!

Can't wait for the final epilogue! But I'll be sad when it's over...

Author's Response:

I finished it this past Saturday and it made me cry.  Just so hard to let these kids go....

OMG...that was the best...I loved it!!!

He got manipulated and he didn't even see it coming...I mean did he really think he was going to get away with walking into a room with all those women near by and get his way...

LOL men never learn...

I loved seeing this far into her future. Bella coming out at the perfect time in her outift was hilarious! It's nice to see Jake with a female of their family, that isn't Bella, lol! So sad we only get one more :(

Author's Response:

The next one, the last, will be even further ahead!

Yeah, I like Jake just fine when he's not with Bella!  LOL!

I so appreciate all of your support during this story.

You know what I loved the most about this chapter was actually the humor. I loved how Elizabeth was slightly embaressed by the pda between Edward and Bella. It's nice to see that they are still very affectionate with each other :-) I love Bella's friends and I also loved the fact that they were "fawning" over Edward. I am trying to envision an older Rob Pattinson and now that I can picture it, he is definitely swoon worthy when older. I loved the Cougar Pen. I giggled and laughed out loud through all of it. I love how Bella distracted Edward with a show of cleavage. *snort* Edward is a boob man and Bella knows what will bring him to his knees. I am extending a virtual hug to you because I am sad that this story has ended but know I will go back and re-read it again and again because I have enjoyed (even with the angst) the journey you have taken us on :-) Thank you, again!

Author's Response:

*hugs*

I finally finished it on Saturday and cried on and off all day.  It's so hard to let these kids go.  They have become a part of me and it hurts to know that their time has come.

I so appreciate your support on this journey.

I found this story a few days ago, and couldn't stop! I cried and laughed a lot reading it, and I'm sad it's close to the end.

You're an amazing writer and this fic is perfect. There's just one thing I'd like to ask you. Maybe, if possible, you could write about their first time together, in the meadow. After all, its one of the most important and magical moments in the storyline and I'd love to read it.

Just think about it.

:D

Author's Response:

I did, love!  The Prologue - Pretty and the Starlet, is the story of their first time together in the meadow.  It was written after the main story was completed, but it was one of the first extra chapters I wrote.  It's listed as the first chapter in the story now!

Wouldn't it be interesting if Liz married Jake (as the story tends to lead) and  Bella and Edward conceive another child - with granddaughter and daughter sharing the lime light?

Author's Response:

It would be!  Not the direction I chose to go, but definitely in the (physical) realm of possibility!

Hey Mrs P

Overprotective Daddyward makes me giggle!!  He is so sweet, but Daddyward has always been sweet. I love that Lizzie's friends are all gaga over him. Definitely a DILF!!!

Elizabeth is a lovely, self assured young lady, but letting her date Jacob - ewwwww!!! That's just wrong LOL!!

Only 1 more chap to go. I am beyond sad.

Thank you for the anniversary wishes. We had a great weekend.

Big hugs

Annette

Author's Response:

Ah, this is a good Jake, not a manipulative, interested-in-your-mama Jake:)  He's only in one more chapter anyway.

The final chapter was completed on Saturday.  I'll likely put it in queue tonight.

Except for the drinking, I really liked it!   I just howled with inner laughter at Bella exposing herself a bit to control Eddie.  Sigh.... Still glad they're hot for each other after 20 years.  :)  REALLY REALLY REALLY appreciate these epilogues - they are AWESOME!!!!  Great job!!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response:

I should clarify that Elizabeth is hardly an avid partier - she is basically a good girl, but she also is no angel so a nip out of a flask at a Homecoming game is not out of character.  She has a bit of Uncle Coach in her:)

So Elizabeth is a bit of a bad girl! Drinking w/ her friends. I guess you can't blame the girl too much after having to deal w/ all her friends swooning over all the adult males in her family! Too funny!

I so was not expecting Jake to make an appearance as Elizabeth's beau. Poor Edward, being ganged up on by all the women in his life!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey (even if I did cry my eyes out through several chapters!). It's hard to believe the journey is nearly over.

Aww, poor Daddyward, I knew someone was going to pull the 'second chances' card, just thought it would be Bella.

Elizabeth is mostly as I suspected her to be, still daddy's girl but I am surprised she's drinking, guess it's a teenager on homecoming night thing.

*Sigh* So sad to see this ending, I have really loved this story. Thanks for writing it and sharing it with us.

Author's Response:

I wouldn't say she's a mad partier by any stretch, but she's not such an angel that she's beyond sneaking a nip at the Homecoming game!

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Reviewer: mscope (Signed) · Date: March 20, 2010 04:36 PM · On: Epilogue the Seventh - And the Lion was Felled by the Lamb...s

Oh Pomme.  I think what I love most about the epi's is that they have been so light and fun to read.   This one was so typical of teenage girls.  Elizabeth's friends talking about her father was so much fun.  A while back I saw an age enhanced picture of R Patz and I can see where the teenagers of tomarrow will be as enamored as the girls of today.  But beyond the crushes on the dad I laughed at what Edward thought of Jacob.  Putting him in there as you did was perfect.

And it will be okay to finish the last couple of paragraphs.  I can only imagine how hard this will be for you when it is over.  I guess the flip side is all of the readers you have met along the way.  A part of your heart will live within each and every one of us.

Sandra

Well I'm really sad that this is coming to an end, but this was another excellent update. I thought you did a great job with Elizabeth. I love Daddyward though. He is my favorite. I can't wait to read the final epi! Good luck with it. I know it's gonna be sad for you. It will be for all of us readers as well. I'm sure it will be great though.
