I can't help but wonder how Edward would have reacted if Alice had shared what she had found. Would it have brought him back to life or at least given him something really to live for, knowing that Bella was in trouble and needed him? Just a thought, but anyway, I'm very glad that Alice is taking matters into her own hand, doing what she thinks is right for Bella, Edward, Jasper...all of them.
I'm enjoying this story and am looking forward to finding out what happens next. I just hope that Bella won't have to suffer being pregnant and heartbroken alone too long and that Edward and the rest of his family won't miss out on too much, but you're the creative genius behind this tale, so I'll have to wait for your verdict...lol. Thanks for writing. :)
Author's Response: Alice's decision to withhold information is another in a long line of questionable decisions that each character makes in this story. More consequences to ponder.

I LOVE THIS! Please write more more more!! I can't wait to see what happens when Edward finds out about Bella's little secret...AHHH!! Update as soon as you can! I love your writing style and I like how, even though they're human, you are staying true to all of the characters and some of the storyline from New Moon!
Author's Response: What an awesome review. I am trying to stick with their personalities and voices, even though this is way AU. As for Edward finding out, it's in Chapters 17 and 18 (already wrote it) so a LONG way to go. And I cried the whole time I wrote it. Hope it is worth it in the end.

Oh fuck indeed! Curious spin you have put on the NM tale. I think I like it. But I want to know why they left. Or have they not left? But edward and Bella split anyway?
Great start you have me thinking...
Author's Response: Good question. Edward left because he has a very black and white version of moral and amoral. They are 18 afterall. He believes that what he did, bruising her so badly and possibly making her ill (he really doesn't know) is enough for him to think he's not worthy of what he thinks is perfect love. As adults, most of us think that is tripe, but in the mind of a very black and white 18 year old, this would make some modicum of sense. I don't agree or understand, completely, his choices. But he doesn't make them to hurt her. He makes them to protect her, in his mind.
Little does he know that the choices he makes damages her more than he could ever imagine.
Please keep reading and hopefully it will make more sense.

I'm really enjoying this. I like the fact that you've got different POVs showing what it's like for both sides, and how Edward can't even function without Bella. I hate that she didn't tell him she was pregnant, b/c he deserved to know. But then I can also see how hw might think it was her attempt to say anything to make him stay... Keep up the great writing.
Author's Response: Thank you for recognizing that. Bella is, rightfully, the sympathetic character in the story. She should be. But that doesn't mean she didn't also make mistakes. Edward was operating only under his preconceived notions of right and wrong and bruising her that badly and not protecting her was tantamount to completely failing her. His leaving was AWFUL. But he didn't know. It doesn't make it right, but I do hope it makes one read the rest of the chapters to find the sympathetic parts of his story. Truly, he isn't that bad.

I just don't understand not telling him about the pregnancy
Author's Response: I think her thought process was, right or wrong, that if he didn't want her anymore then she wasn't going to "use" a baby to get him back. That is why she didn't tell him. Do I agree or disagree? It doesn't matter. But that is what she is thinking. She doesn't want him to stay with her because of a baby. She wants him to stay with her for her.
I am sorry if that's lame, but I hope it explains Bella's mindset.
