I love this story! I am a sucker for all of the angsty goodness. Draw it out as long as you want to. If everything was all sunshine and rainbows it wouldn't be as interesting.

Oh, God--trying so hard not to lose it right now. Esme's words to him at the end, letting him be a child for just a bit longer--just breaks my heart.
So Carlisle's news pretty much completely broke Edward, as expected. He did exactly what I thought he would. I was, however, pleasantly surprised that Esme was the one to go to him--I was worried that Emmett was going to come in to the bathroom and wail on him, which he didn't need, IMO. He needed Esme's firm insistence that he MAN UP and allow Bella to have her own mind, feel what she feels, LOVE who she LOVES. But he also desperately needed his mother, and thank God she realized that and gave that to him. I don't think he would have been able to handle things if she hadn't been there for him.
Great update. Love your story, cannot wait for the next update.
Author's Response: You know, originally it was going to be Alice in the bathroom scene, but Esme was the one that came out on paper. She just needed to be there and he needed someone who could both put him in his place and offer him the ultimate comfort. So, Esme it was.
Edward had to be broken, completely, to be reborn. And thus the venom - transformation. He's becoming... so to speak. It's not over in a day, but he is becoming...

I think you should get either Angela or Charlie to do the next POV. I'd like to know what is running through Charlie's mind and how he'll process any information that the Cullens will give him!

aww new chapter YES!Lets have a proper review because last night i doubt if my review made any sense i was kinda sleepy lol
I am very happy for the fact Edward learns about Bella and even that it was indeed a big sock for him i guess socks sometimes it is all for the best!I was really sad seeing him like this but i was very happy the sock was for the best and made Edward to wake up from his misery ''dream'
I like the fact you used all the Cullen family to be next to Edward but i think the only person i did notice to be there was Rosalie - eh?
I adore the fact you used Esme to talk with Edward!I think she really was the ''voice'' who made edward to wake up sort of his inside voice if you know what i mean!
Third and not last i found AMAZING the pause you used between some quotes like ''i left her'' or ''the meadow'' I swear i felt like i was inside Edward mind and hearing as well these freaky voices (edward voice ofcource but still way creepy!!)

To your first point, he needed this shock to his system to become a man. It had to happen. Someone stated he entered the plan a boy and comes off a man. That's exactly right.
Point the second, Rose stayed back to pick up Jasper. Don't worry, you'll see them both again
Point the third, originally, it was going to be Alice talking to Edward, but Esme was the name and voice that came out on paper.
Lastly, you know how when you're truly upset or shocked, you keep repeating things in your head. Like Oh My God, Oh My God... That was the same as Edward here. Trying to metabolize all the things going on in his head.

I reread it and am now bawling my eyes out again. Please update soon! Leaving right there is not a cliffie but it is in the middle of such emotional upheaval that it is hard to realize it is just left there. Please update soon!! I know you said the baby lives but this accident is scaring me... I need reassurance! Please, please, please update soon! (maybe today or tomorrow? the day after that is quite a stretch but I may survive if that's how long you need... but please opt for sooner!)

Good stuff. I love that Esme is finally putting her foot down and telling him to be an adult now. Good for her. I think the next leg of the story will be told by Charlie? That would be interesting to hear his struggles as he deals with all of this.

Srsly, that was heartwrenching. Esme was AMAZING. What she said to him was brilliant. She told him what he needed to hear and she did it in such a great manner.
I loved how you repeated the phrases, it made it so much more emotional.

am i bad that i read this with a smile on my face? and bravo to esme for telling him his pity party is over and time to be an adult and a father..... i hope that the next pov is bella but the reality is, i would love it to be edward getting to the hospital and dealing with all of that. any word as to whether it is a little bella or edward?
