I loved Esme here. That was perfection!
As for POV, any will do for me. It could be the hospital's maid Jessica, I just want to know that the baby and Bella are OK.

I so love this story. It is full of angst and I love it. It is definitely time for Edward to grow up!!
If I were to guess on the next POV...I would say...Charlie?

Oh Edward, so glad Esme was able to knock some sense into you. Don't get me wrong, I love you man, but there's only so much emo one can take before it just starts to grate on the nerves.
Hopefully now he'll be able to focus on the challenge ahead. I'm sure Bella isn't just going to welcome Edward and the Cullen's back into her life with open arms; they did leave her after all. At the same time, she's gone through a very traumatic experience, and it could be the perfect time for them all to resurface. I guess only time will clue us in to her reaction. (And whether or not Edward is able to actually hold off on the emo long enough to express himself to Bella and his unborn child).

Ah, and Edward knows. He's got to just be beating himself up in his mind even more now than ever. He never would have left knowing that Bella was carrying his child, it wouldn't have even been an option. Hopefully he'll be able to snap out of his self pity long enough to realize he needs to cowboy up and grab the bull by the horns because whether he's ready or not he's going to be a father.
Just had to add, I love the fact that Emmett is so protective of Bella all this time. I've always loved the strong sibling bond between those two.

Author's Response: Thank you again! Edward is going through a lot and his transformation isn't all on the plane, rather over the length of the story. Emmett is so wonderful. He wants to protect Bella and believe Edward and it is tearing him up. Thanks for the review!

Wow, I so can't imagine what the Cullens are thinking and feeling right now. There has just got to be so many things going through their minds, to be able to function enough to get everything situated before they leave has just got to be an immense task.
Glad to know Edward is finally moving, even if he doesn't quite know what's going on yet. It's been killing me having him sitting around wallowing in his own grief and self-loathing, all the while knowing that his child is growing inside Bella across the continent. He would never behave that way if he knew.

WAY TO GO ESME. I love your Esme so much more and damn I could so completely see this scene playing out.
What did it for me was the tapping of her manicured nail on the floor, saying
"This... Stops Now."
Holy shit I need to channel my inner Esme next time the teens start bickering...

Oh, Ellie...you I just got back from my short trip...and you did have a chapter waiting...YAY! Edward...OMG! He sooo does love Bella and wants nothing more than to have her back...but I'm glad he knows it most definetely will not be easy! And I loved Esme at the end telling him that he could be a child for a few more minutes.

Let us know what's going on with Angela at the hospital if you're not going to give us Bella's POV right away.
Hooray for Esme for stepping up to the plate and verbally laying the who,what,where, on the line for Emoward. Time to be the man Daddy Carlisle raised him to be; time to not be the little boy throwing a tantrum about how things didn't work out the way he thought they should.
You've done excellent work with this story, dealing with all this heavy emotion. Think of this a verbal pat on the back.

Very nicely done. I loved Esme in this chapter. Loved how she was able to make Edward become a man, and at the same time show the compassion he needs to make that transition.

I'm glad everyone knows now that Edward had no idea.
Alice not even knowing if Bella was ok was heartbreaking, as was the pain coming from Edward.
