Author's Response: I have another story which is currently about 15 chapters in, which I try to update regularly. I'm also in the middle of another one-shot to accompany this one, which would be Edward's POV... watch this space!

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I did my best to stay true to the characters the way I imagine them, and it is nice to know that there are people that imagine things the same way as me :)

I really liked this story. This is honestly something I feel that should not have been left out of Breaking Dawn. The way you did your version of the Honeymoon night, could have been done in the book, without offending anyone, I feel. Great Job on your first fan fic!! :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I was also a bit miffed at the lack of detail in Breaking Dawn, though I understand that she couldn't be too graphic, given that it was technically written for a teenage audience, (though, both my 11 year old sister and my 50 year old aunt love it).
Still, I just couldn't bring myself to leave that scene unwritten. I have something of an overactive imagination.

Author's Response: Thanks! I think I was born to write fanfiction... I have no real writing style of my own, but I can mimic other people's rather effectively.
It was actually really fun writing like this, Meyer is an excellent author and it was a real challenge and a joy trying to match her skill.

Brilliant. Most of the fan fiction I read is rubbish, with little in common with the original characters beyond the names. I cite "Edward has a boner" as a particularly apt example that I found on one website. But this keeps in line with characterisation and builds on the growing tensions in the original book. A tour de force.
Author's Response: heh, I noticed a lot of that as well, though on other sites where the stories aren't validated.
I suppose I have one reason to thank "Edward has a boner" and its ilk, since it was reading that sort of fanfic that decided I could do a better job myself, and hopefully I have done!

That was very good. It had all of the elements I was looking for. The sweetness, the tenderness, the humor, and the extreme difficulty of these two incredible beings mating for the first time.
Author's Response: One of the things I loved about the series, what made the characters real for me, was that they were both so beautiful, but so flawed.
Somehow I couldn't imagine them, even with the best will in the world, pulling off something of this magnitude without a hitch, but I knew they'd get through it.

Author's Response: Thanks! I tried to stick to SM's style, that's why I put a quote at the start, I find that if I go straight from typing up what she has written to adding my own stuff it's easier to mimic her.
It's good to know I managed it, I wanted it to slip seamlessly into breaking dawn.

This was actually really good!! I loved that you didn't have to add in all these gruesome details. Many other fan fics do and it ruins the moment sometimes. This is really how I pictured edward and bella on the wedding night.....it is supposed to be very ackward....both are trying to hammer out the process.....but both want to please the other.......are you going to continue to write?
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I read a couple of other fanfics that just didn't quite work for me, so I decided that since I obviously had a very strong idea of how I thought they'd manage it, maybe I should just write it myself!
I'm actually working on another at the moment, but it is many chapters long and refuses to be written linearly, so I think I might have to finish the whole thing before I start uploading it.
I'm also thinking of writing another one-shot of the honeymoon scene, but from Edward's POV.
All the lovely reviews are keeping me motivated!
