I love the story! I just tuned in and now I can't wait for more. I personally loved Ashe's Scarlett jokes! But I do love the way they forgave each other. What better way to reconnect than at Roaring 20's night!? I'm excited to read the next chapter :D

I love how Ashe refuses to dumb herself down for somebody else. That being said, her fierce independence can hinder her from being truly loved by someone...possibly a hopelessly chivalrous Southern gentleman?
I can see how poor fake Jackson could get confused. He's been raised to open doors, push in chairs, hold arms, and pay for things. He doesn't see those things in a misogynist way...he just wants to do the right thing. Damn societal norms have to be all confusing and crap. :P
Ben G. and Lav, huh? I could get used to that. :) He seems like such a sweety in real life....

And yeah, Ashe's independence is going to cause some problems with our favorite Southern gentleman. I agree with societal norms--they are VERY confusing.

Author's Response: LOL! I'm glad you liked this chapter, despite it's corniness. I think I might have been running low on inspiration when I wrote that part, but it turned out alright. I know sometimes when I really like somebody I have a tendency to forgive and forget about things I would usually bust balls and crack skulls over. That's pretty lame, hey? Well, infatuation makes us do stupid things, I guess. XD

That chapter kicks ass. I loved it. I could totally see them all doing just just what you written. Loved the way the girls work the vintage shops. I always found cool things at those places.

Hm...Lavender and Ben? I hadn't really considered it. Flirting? Definitely. Lavender's a flirt, and Ben strikes me as one also.

I'm a shitty reviewer, but I see you don't have many yet and this fic is fuckawesome so here it goes.
I like Ashe. I like her quirkiness (the pizza/ranch thing is ick.nast. but I'll deal. Margherita pizza FTW!) and her attitude. I'm pretty much nothing like her, but I identify with her somehow. I think it's our mutual dislike for Twilight. Bella makes me want to bitch slap some hos, and let's not talk about the fuckery that is Remesmee.
Lavendar is a lovely name. Really, it's nice. She is also a great character. The dynamic between her and Ashe is funny, sincere, and a lot like what I share with my bestie. He's a gay dude, but whatev.
We've not seen a whole lot of Fake Jackson, but he holds the key to my vajayjay so it's hard to find fault with him. I am curious about where Monkeys know Ashe from. eeeeenteresting.
I read all five chapters at lightening speed since I have a pissed off toddler yelling at me to feed him more veggie nuggets and ZOMG he needs food, but I honestly enjoyed all of it. There is a serious lack of J.Action fic in this Twihard world and I'm glad you are sharing your fic with the interwebz.

I, myself, am a fan of the Margherita pizza as well, lol. I am glad you like the story so far. Fake Jackson will become a more integral part of the story soon, but I wanted people to understand that first and foremost the story is about Ashe--her growing up and coming to terms with her past and moving forward with her life. Change is hard and I think most people get "stuck" at one point or another. Fake Jackson is Ashe's catalyst for change.
You will discover in chapter six how Jerad knows Ashe.
I am very sorry that you have a pissed off toddler yelling at you, lol. Get him those veggie nuggets, stat! I hope to hear from you in chapter six. Also, if you are interested, Vintage is on the forums (not that the thread is all that active). You are welcome to stop by and chat with me there.

P.S. In case you have a hangover today, let me recommend my personal remedy: buttered noodles, possibly with some parmesan cheese. It's the only thing I can stomach the day after I drink a lot. Oh, and coffee...lots and lots of coffee and water.
