Okay, a reply to a reply to a review :)
I hope your nose doesn't fall off indeed because girl, that wouldn't be nice. Imagine yourself without a nose on your face and you will get my point. And it will be difficult to breathe through your nose that's laying on the floor. Anyway, stupid joke. What did I wanted to say? *scratches head* (I had a wedding to attend yesterday and I was home at 4:30 and didn't sleep much so excuse my brain for not working 100% either). Oh yeah, the violation. I wasn't talking about the physical kind of violation, but the sexual kind. I know you cannot tell me anything about it (although I love to get spoiled *hint hint*) but my thoughts have something to do with sexual violation. Not necessary rape, but people can invade your personal boundaries and privacies without going all the way, if that makes sense? It does in my 50% working bran, so I hope yours sees my point as well.
Take care *and offers you a box of cleen-ex*
Author's Response: *carves a thank you token out of a potato* those tissues...gah...I think I am personally responsible for the destruction of half the Amazon forest. Anyway. A reply to a reply to a reply to a review... *spontaneous headache hits*
The violation being sexual rather than physical...hmm the two go hand in hand quite soon, don't they. Ah! I don't even know how to reply without giving away everything lol. Perhaps I should just answer in Finnish or some other language you don't speak (excuse the boldness to think that you do not speak Finnish. If you do... deepest apologies. Assumptions always tend to bite back in the ass) Trailing off, trailing off...ehm...where was I? Oh right. Hmm... it *does* make sense what you write. And I feel like I should give you "magic 8 ball" answer in order to not give too much away. *Reply hazy try again later* ? *Cannot predict now*? *Better not tell you now*?
You are probably ready to smack me. I don't blame you. It would spoil the story if I told you, wouldn't it? And in all honesty...the answer would probably be yes and no. I'm rather into shades of grey ;)
Hope the wedding was nice! Take a power-nap, might help! :)

*offers you a fresh handkerchief so you can blow your nose some more while you read my review*
First of all, I'm sorry I haven't replied to your email sooner -I will today- but I'm very bad when it comes to answer reviews. I always read them, write a short reply, save it as a draft to write a longer reply later and I'm always running out of time -or so it feels- and I want to take my time to write a proper reply, but if you're running out of time, time is ... well you know what my point is. But today i'm making some time for it.
Now the update: It was a pleasant surprise to see that you've updated and although I've told myself that I wouldn't read it this afternoon because i have some other things to do first, I couldn't stop myself from pressing the link in my email and read it. I enjoyed every word of it, really. You portrayed Edward's itchiness perfectly, and you have a great gift of describing the scenery. I really love those kind of things because I like the full picture. So thanks for offering me so much great and beautiful descriptions.
Edward's interection with his family (especially LIlly) and Rose make me laugh out loud and I hope to see more of that little niece of him in the future. If I'm honest, I don't know how I feel about Bella being on the menu before. I thought she had her heart broken before but I didn't consider that she had being violated. I know a lot of author's incorporate that storyline (I'm reading One of the guys and Wide Awake; and both stories incorporate that plot) and I'm not sure at this moment what to think of it. I'm going to see how you handle and incorporate it okay? I do however appreciate and liked Bella's attempt to push him away by voicing all the great things about him and the 'lack of great things about her'. I'm glad that he wasn't pushed away so easily. And that she returned and kissed him, well, I hope to see more than 10 second of her bravery in the future. Great update, really, I enjoyed every word of it. And I know you are studying and have a busy life, but I hope to read the next installment soon :)
Take care and see ya! Stars for you!
Author's Response: Don't sweat it! I know like no other what 24 hours in a day mean: it's way way way too little for the things I need to do lol. And having a head that works on half capacity certainly doesn't help...but oh well. Let's hope this bug will be over soon...preferably before my nose falls off from blowing it so much.
I am glad you enjoyed the descriptions. I know they are not for everyone. I myself, too, can get annoyed when it just...goes on and on and on...if you have ever opened the Lord of the Rings you will know what I mean. When after 40 pages Tolkien was still describing the same tree, I knew that book was not for me :P on top of being a fantasy one ;)
But sometimes I do get carried away and since I love visuals (painting, photography, film) I try to translate the image in my head as tangibly as possible. Anyway, glad that turned out well.
As for Bella being violated (physically I take it you think?)... She technically never said she was. Don't forget that Edward is trying to interpret her words best way he can (his own experience with his mum and Rose). It is still all very subjective. I don't want to give away too much, but just hold in mind that charachters are biased, even more so when it is only their thoughts you get to read. It pleases me to some extent, though. Means you submerge yourself in the character :) which is an indication that I am doing my job well.
Yes, there will be more than 10 seconds of bravery lol. If there weren't I think my personality would split and strangle the other half lol.
Thanks for your -as always- very elaborate, amazing review.

Loved the ending and Bella's burst of bravery after her rather articulate list of why they weren't right for each other. I look forward to seeing what happens after Thanksgiving!

“We can paint each other’s toenails and gossip about Alice and watch the Notebook and then hold each other as we cry,” Emmett mused.
LOL!!
Author's Response: Hehe could not resist ;) Emmett is just lovely.

Oh.............. *thuds* I adore the last part. The ten second courage was amusingly beautiful. Yeah. I know. Amusing + Beautiful. I swear my heart melted right off my chest.
Oh and I just realized something... Edward in this fic is a little moody. Or broody. *LOL* Whichever. He thinks too much sometimes. :D I guess that comes from his fame?
Totally appreciate the longer chapter, dear. Thanks so much!
Author's Response: Ha! Just the reaction I was trying to coax! I would do a little dance if my head wouldn't explode at the smallest movement. You made my day! It is not an exaggeration!
And yes my Edward is moody ... and broody. I just needed something to translate his torment for lack of better word in the books to as I am trying to keep close to the character albeit taking away the blood thirst. So yes, you are dead on. He is moody and broody. (I would also lie if I said I don't have a soft spot for the broody aloof romantic hero... A girl can dream, no?)
Thank you for your amazing review :) It is very much appreciated.

ahhh carkeek park, i spet many a summer there. i love being on the cat walk when a train passes under it. :) great chapter!
Author's Response: Unbelievably late reply as am behind with everything! Someone who has seen the scenery I am trying to portray! Very interesting...and a bit scary, for it is (safe for the names and some basics) all a figment of my imagination. Never been there!
Thanks!

Fantastic chapter. Sorry you're sick. I like the way Rose talked to Edward. He needs to see things from a different persons perspective. He has to guard himself from the media and fans and yet he doesn't realize that others might want to guard themselves from things that have happened in their lives. I look forward to the next chapter and the course of action Edward decides to take. Hope you feel better soon.
Author's Response: I apologise for the very late reply (am just behind on everything) and let me tell you that you seem to get where I'm going. Miserable as Edward is, he fails to see outside his bubble and to the fears and tribulations of others.
Glad you liked it!

First let me say that I am sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. If it helps your physicality at all, know that this chapter was complete awesomeness. Sincerely. I loved everything about it. Your use of metaphor and simile was beautiful. The ending was love. Seems to me that Edward has gotten caught up in the lifestyle that goes along with being a celebrity and somewhere along the way lost himself. Bella is helping him to find what he has lost, as are his family. Edward has reached an impasse of sorts with Bella, and she left the door open for something to grow between them. Now, he needs to rectify things with Jasper and enjoy the relationships with his friends and family. Only there will he find the comfort and clarity he is seeking.
You continue to do a great job with the writing. The plot is developing at quite a nice pace; not too rushed or anything. The characterizations are coming along nicely as well. I know that you are busy with everyday life issues, and thus I hope things go well for you. I am eager for you to update again, whenever that may be, so know that I will be keeping an eye for your posting. Take care.
Author's Response: It does make me feel better, not so much physically, but it surely lifts the spirits and that leads to a more happy disposition all over! I'm glad you enjoyed the metaphors and similes...I'm glad you *got* the metaphors in the first place lol. You are the first to mention them as to be present, so I don't know. I think they were lost for some at the least, making me feel that I had either overdone or underplayed it. So you are making me a happy camper! :)
You also seem to get my intention of the characters which also fills me with an immense satisfaction!
Thank you for getting it and for the wishes :)
Till the next time,
Eva

That was excellent. Angst often feels so manufactured but if these two people were actually in this situation, I can imagine it going like this. I loved that you had her come back to kiss him - that's the Bella we want her to be. Keep up the great work and feel better !
Author's Response: Very late reply! Am delighted you enjoyed it and didn't think the angst was too much. Thanks!

Hi Eva,
Since leaving a review in Dutch seems more difficult than leaving one in English, I'm here in English again. First of all, I'm a little bit sad that I have no more chapters to catch up with. That's always the positive side of catching up, you don't need to wait to read the next chapter. Now I know how my readers feel when I end a chapter with a cliffhanger. Anyway. Back to your chapter. I love the humor you've put in this chapter. Like the movie with Edward Cullen and the double date thing. Hilarious. And then the travel insurrance she needed for the house. Ha, even funnier. Yeah I'm a sucker for jokes in fanfics and that's why I highly recommend 'One of the guys'. An amazing story and an amazing writer. really. Don't read my fic, read One of the guys. It's so much better! Trust me, it's true.
Okay, so what happened with Lion Daniel? You gave us a hint and now I want to know the entire story. Tell me. Soon. I'm an impatient girl and my begging can be very successfull :) Or so I have been told *g* Lilly is such a sweetie and I adore her. The booger thing was fucking genius and the fact that Edward needed to try to get a kid's seat in the back of his car: the idea of him fumbling with the things made me laugh out loud. The fact that he dazzles Bella with his smoldering gaze or perfect crooked smile is unfair, he should know what effect he has on women! And the duet and almost kiss... perfect and yet so frustrating at the same time. More Eva, please, More is always good :) Oh and just for the record: I never left a review on this site before (I don't read much fics lately) and so my first 5 reviews are yours! I'm going to stop rambling now, since you emailed me and told me you fall asleep easily. I'm sure you're snoring in front on your computer right now and drooling over your keyboard. What will your flatmates say about that?! Anyway, take care and good luck with your exams. I'll email you later, my partner will be home soon and I'm making dinner. Ciao!

Hi there!
I first read your profile-bio before I read this chapter, so there is at least one person who read it. it was funny, btw, and I like those kind of things. I assume you live in Europe, like me. I live in Belgium, and before you wonder if that's even a country: it is :) Just a small one. Anyway, this chapter.
I loved the interaction between Lilly and Edward and that they made peace after the phone incident earlier that week :) The battle to make waffles was hilarious and the fact that Edward road with that shirt to Bella and have coffee with her, made the situation even better. It just shows that he is only human and not perfect, like we all like to think. I was sorry to hear that he hadn't seen or talked to Bella in the past 10 days... I just hope they can spend some time together. He seems more at ease around her than she is around him, but I think that's normal since he is a famous Hollywood actor and she is probably thinking why on earth he is interested in a plain girl like her, right?
Now, I loved it (in case you still wondered) and I'm eager to read the next chapter. I hope you update soon so I don't have to wait too long to read chapter 6. I have a story posted here as well, in case you want something to read (no fantasy. About the fantasy thing: I was relucant to read Twilight for the same reason. I'm not into vampires. Werewolves or whatsoever. But the hype is amazing and I couldn't NOT read it, if you understand what I mean). Anyway, I probably rambled you asleep already :) See you after the next chapter!
Author's Response: Ahahahaha. My flatmates are probably wondering what's so funny :p
My topography knowledge would be lacking severely, would I NOT know where Belgium is (crazier things have happened, but really :P). I'm from Holland. That's that tiny little thing right next to....YOU :P You should check your email, Elke. For some reason it feels odd to reply in Dutch to something entirely written in English so I'll just stick to it for now.
I'm thrilled to see that you see where I am going with Edward. I so desperatly am trying to get him off that pedestal of perfection. Sure Bella sees him as the epitome of all that's flawless, but he is far from it. And you also have Bella down. Which makes me a happy camper :)
Chapter six is done and being edited by my beta, then there will be the validation period, but it should pop up somewhere this week... I hope.
I don't usually like fantasy, but I do read well written non-human Twilight fics. Atm I prefer human ones. Even though there are some fantastic NON-human ones out there. Do you know Bonne Foi? Anyway, I shall sneak a peak at your story once I'm finished with this darn assignment.
I almost feel like I should add a joke about Belgians. hehehe
Dank en tot ziens!

How could I not leave you a review after such a wonderful chapter?! Because it was wonderful indeed. I had hoped that Edward would take the second step since Bella called first and he didn't answered his phone (funny Lilly btw). And he even caught her while she stumbled -clumsy Bella, that's how I really like her the best-. Wow, perfect second encounter if you ask me. And Bella being so nervous, ha, I like that and Edward seems amused by it as well. I also liked it a lot that Edward seemed nervous as well, rambling non stop and asking her out for dinner. Too bad that Bella already had a 'date' to attend :( And she closed the phone so rushed, I hope Edward understands or that Bella calls him back later that night. Anyway, you are doing a very good job here girl and I am eager to read the next chapter as well. I handle you Mr. Cullen on a plate, if I had a double of him. But he is locked up in my bedroom and he isn't going anywhere *is wish* :) I hope these stars are enough...

Hi there,
I'm here again, catching up with the second chapter. First of all: I'm sorry for not leaving a better and longer review last night, but I was so exhausted and wanted to sleep. But I loved it: Bella's clumsiness and tha awkwardness between them. Their handholding as a sweet gesture to comfort him (Bella is a caretaker) and fisting his hair like that, to relax him. I liked it a lot.
Now the seond chapter: I don't know why but I'm always a big sucker for Edward's POV and I'm glad you will write his one as well. Seems like the boy is already falling in love with Bella, or at least he wants to know her better. And the way you describe how he looks: the poor boy isn't coming down with something, right? Maybe some Bella healing would make him better *hint hint* Your way of describing things is wonderful and beautiful. You are a very good writer and keep up the good work. The Cullen family is one happy, perfect family and Edward feels like 'the outsider' or so it feels a little bit. Everything changes while he has the feeling that his life is always the same. Hotelrooms, photographers, screaming fans... Poor boy. Cannot wait to read the next chapter, but too bad I need to go for a few. But you can expect more reviews later, when I catch up with your wonderful fic.
Stars to please you!
Author's Response: Hi,
What a nice surprise to find your review(s) in my inbox this morning. I am very glad you are enjoying it so far and leaving me such elaborate comments. It is also very amusing, because I'm fairly sure, that unbeknownst to you we have something in common. Zit ik ernaast als ik aanneem dat we allebei vloeiend Nederlands kunnen? ;)

This reminds me of Notting Hill, when they're in the bookstore and he's rambling on. One of my favorite parts. :)
Author's Response: You are not the first to pull the parallel between Notting Hill and this story and I have seen it, too. But in all honesty when I started writing it, there was no assosciation in my head between the two lol. I only realised later ... third chapter I think. It's funny, seeing that I have Notting Hill in my DVD collection. How did I not see sooner :P

Oh my goodness! I hadn't been paying attention to how many chapters there were and was pretty surprised when I didn't find the next button. How frustrating! Bella and Edward need to get over their awkwardness, it's stressing me out! Gah! Anyways, you've got me hooked! Good luck on your exams, I should be studying for mine right now but... obviously I'm procrastinating haha. xoxo
Author's Response: hahaha thank you! I will need that luck...I think my brain has just...packed its bags and run off to tahiti... i feel like blowing raspberries...
Glad to have anotherone hooked! ;) This sort of strokes my ego, since I have never been good at fishing :P haha.
