Your story is amazing. Thank you for writing in Edwards POV! Keep up the good work.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

Breathless. Yes, that's a good word.  Poignant is another good word.

Honestly, I think SM missed the boat.  I find myself preferring EPOV above all else.  He is so cherishing of those he loves.

Don't stay away so long.  You were missed.  <3

Author's Response:

I'm thinking that I agree with you about reading from Edward's perspective.

Don't get me wrong: Bella's point of view is excellent, because it allows you to sort of become her within the story – but there's just something about seeing things through Edward's eyes that is so...alluring.

Hopefully, I'll have an update for everyone in the next few days. The chapter is almost finished.

And thank you for reviewing!

ok....

so I AM ROMANIAN and yeah, that's a mice proverb and you used it well :D

good job with the translation :D

and also I love your story, you rock ;)

keep the updates going !

Author's Response:

Thank you!

I'm glad to hear that I got the proverb right. :)

The next chapter is almost done; a few more days, and it should be ready.

WOW....Thats is all I can muster! You are a magnificent writer! Please dont make us wait too long for more :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

I promise it won't be too much longer... the next chapter is just about finished.

Though I haven't had time to read all of your chapters yet, I absolutely love your writing!  I plan on catching up this weekend, but anyway...I think you've really delved into Edward's head astoundingly well.  Some writers don't really capture Edward 100%, but you do while keeping everything in canon.  Great job!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

Nice to add the translation and the pic of the dress.

What a cliffhanger for sure.

Looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Author's Response:

I always appreciate it when authors note any translations or poems and what not. And isn't that dress gorgeous? It's simple and elegant; I could just picture Bella wearing it.

And that cliffhanger... well, it WAS the perfect place to stop – like an intermission in a play before the final act.

The next chapter is nearly done; a few more finishing touches and it will be ready. Please be patient for a bit longer!

Breathtaking!  As usual, very well written.  You capture Edward's voice just as I imagine him.  Your writing is poetic.  Thank you.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

I love Edward – as I'm sure you can tell – and I want to do my best to portray him accurately. It's so encouraging to hear from readers that they feel his voice, his soul, in this story.

your story is probably the best one i've read so far :D

please keep writing... the suspense it absolutely killing me

Author's Response:

Thank you very much!

The next chapter is almost finished; I have a little more to wrap up.

I promise not to keep you all waiting for much longer! :)

I have to admit that I put off reading this chapter so that I could mentally prepare myself for the all consuming angst and desperation that I was sure that I would read.  However, you put an underlying hope and resolve to the chapter that surprised and delighted me.  Edward's faith in his new life and love with Bella and Renesmee and how right their life is fuels his certainty that they will endure one way or another.  The overwhelming appreciation of the love that they share was a treat and I'm glad that I finally "manned up" and read your beautiful words!  I promise to be less reluctant for the next chapter!!!

Author's Response:

Gosh, I thought I was the only one that had to do some mental calisthenics before delving into a big helping of angst. :)

Seriously though, I understand where you're coming from, and I tried to inject a bit of lightheartedness and hope into this chapter to keep everyone in sight of the lightening horizon. Dawn is coming, but as the saying goes: it's always darkest beforehand.

The next chapter is nearly finished - and let me tell you, it has surprised me...and is even a bit scary at some points. I'll have to explain when it's ready.

I LOVE your story...you have me captivated!  Your banner is fantastic too!  I am eagerly anticipating the next chapter...please keep writing!  and thank you thank you THANK YOU!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

I've already started working on the next chapter; hopefully it will come together soon.

Reviewer: lada_8 (Signed) · Date: June 18, 2009 05:58 PM · On: Deadline

This chapter is beautiful!!!!

If i didn't want to desperately find out every thought from the Volturi during the confrontation, I would say, you could end this story right here. I mean we know how it ends right? But it's just so perfect.

When Rose and Emmett grin at each other, Carlisle's internal praying, Jake's "screw it" moment, Nessie's guilt and heartbreak and relief at having Jake there. I mean, ALL OF IT. It's just perfect.

Please keep writing!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

I think it would drive me insane if I tried to end the story here. I need closure! Even though the ending is already known...

I really enjoyed this chapter, too. It could very well by my new favorite - although I still love "Irresistible".

Reviewer: moonstruck (Signed) · Date: June 18, 2009 05:23 PM · On: Deadline

Beautiful, compelling, descriptive.   Totally loving the way you are writing this whole story.....the extended thoughts and feelings of Edward and all the little extra moments added make the story so much more enjoyable and satisfying.  Thank you for this.

I know BD wasn't everyone's favorite book but I love reading Edward in canon and this story is perfection.

And yes please! Eclipse! I've so wished someone would tackle Eclipse in canon from Edward's POV and reading your superb version of BD here, you are undoubtedly the one who could do it.

Author's Response:

Thank you very much!

I truly enjoyed "Breaking Dawn", and now I love it even more since I began writing this story.

And I'm still toying with the idea of taking on "Eclipse"...though I don't know if I'd write the entire novel from Edward's point of view. I may choose some key moments instead. It all depends on how motivated I feel after "Metamorphosis" is complete. :)

Reviewer: Mizra (Signed) · Date: June 18, 2009 09:17 AM · On: Deadline

Gah! You had me at "little love". Possible one of the sweetest sentiments I've read Edward saying to someone. That includes Bella, too. Too wonderful for words, that.

And so... it does begin. The beginning of the end, or as it would seem. And you were right about the musical intonation of the story... I'm sensing a great crescendo, and at a final gong right about now. And the gong will stop when Aro and his dark, sadistic coven are on the field, readying their aim.

Author's Response:

Thank you!

I was a little worried that the endearment might sound too cheesy, but it just seemed like something Edward would say. I'm glad you liked it.

Music plays such a huge role in my creativity; lately I've been gravitating to classical because it provides good background sound. My current favorite is "The Firebird Suite" by Igor Stravinsky. It has just the right amount of operatic emotion and tension.

Right, right. What's your penname at F.f.net?

Author's Response:

Riniel o Imladris.

A bit odd, I know... It's Elvish. :)

i am rendered speechless but am nothing short of praise for this chapter! not many authors on this site have captured Edward's character so perfectly; its a hard task to accomplish, however, this chapter is testament to the fact that you have mastered this.

not only have you brought us into his mind, but your writing and use of such poetic, inspiring, poignant words is wonderful, and has the emotion carried by these has been consistantly so real and raw; even this late in the story, your technique has not faltered once.
"Out of all the many boxes of photographs – snapshots of my decades of existence even from when I was still human – this is the only one that matters to me."

"Gently, I raise my hand to Bella's cheek, brushing the backs of my fingers along the curve of her jaw to the soft point of her chin. "Because when you lit up the sky and crashed into my world..." My thumb lightly strokes the swell of her lower lip, back and forth, and her breath tickles my skin. "...that is when my life truly began. The only life worth remembering," I finish in a low, passionate whisper, mesmerized by the smoldering embers within her red-gold eyes."

these are lovely words and deffinetly sentements i could hear Edward saying to Bella; they remind me of similar phrases that he said in New Moon after his return!

"Millenniums rise and fall while I hold the entire universe in my embrace. And I realize, with a certainty that lightens the weight pushing down on my soul, that this is my eternity. The last knot has been tied; the die has been cast. Wherever the course of destiny may lead, we will be together. Bella is half of all that I am, and Renesmee is the miraculous blending of our lives made flesh. I have to believe that the heaven I have found with them will continue on through whatever waits on the other side of the veil.

But this inherent faith will not keep me from fighting."

this scentence in the chapter i absolutly loved because i think it defines and encapsulates Edward's thoughts completely, not just because of the impending attack from the volturi, but for everything that they may face in their lives. its just so..Edward! apologies if its seems like i'm repeating myself here!

i also really enjoyed the light-hearted daddy-edward moments! very cute and it eased the tension of impending doom a little!

finally, i myself am irish and i really quite liked your addition of gaelic to the chapter; no other author has done that!

as always i look forward to more; i'm loving this version of Breaking Dawn better than the original ( no offence to Steph or anything..)!

Author's Response:

Thank you so very much!

I really loved Edward's 'meteor' speech in "New Moon", and was so glad to reference it in this chapter.

And the little family moments were a lot of fun to add in. I wish there had been more interaction between Edward and Renesmee in the novel to counteract all the angst he felt during Bella's pregnancy.

Ah, the Gaelic. I've got some Irish in me, too, and wanted to put a little more of Siobhan into the story. She's very interesting to me, and a mysterious character, as well.

I'll try not to keep you all waiting for too long, though I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist sometimes. :)

This is by far your best chapter thus far.  The emotions that you have poured out amongst everyone is truly amazing.  I have enjoyed reading this story more than the original.  You are so talented and I look forward to reading your take on the meeting.  Please don't keep us hanging too long.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

I hope to not leave you all in suspense for too long, but these next few chapters are so intense that I find myself needing some uninterrupted time to submerge into the story and become a part of it's universe to be able to 'see' it in my head. I want so badly for the meeting with the Volturi to unfold in a way that does the original text justice, and to fill in the blanks at some points, too.

I have to confess that I'm a bit nervous, but also excited. It's like that feeling you get on a roller coaster while you're cranking up the first hill, waiting for gravity to pull you down. You know you're in for a wild ride, but it doesn't stop you from moving forward.

Reviewer: Mizra (Signed) · Date: June 17, 2009 09:54 PM · On: Declared

Beautifully done, like always.

"We must have always been one – from the very foundation of the universe – and however our souls were split into two, it was inevitable that we would find each other again."

This alone is why I picked up Twilight. This is the reason why I look for fanfiction that gives off the same flavor(?) of romance and tender admission of long-found joy and appreciation for the delicate and profound way Edward and Bella found each other in the first place.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

And I don't know if I've mentioned this to you already, but thank you also for your 'plug' for "Metamorphosis" in your story, "Consummation". I really appreciate it.

Oh my gosh, the bottlecap makes a reappearance. And that was simply the sweetest scene I've read in a long time. You wrote that so beautifully and thank you for sharing it with us.

*sighs over the bottlecap of love*

Author's Response:

Thank you!

Yes, I loved the fact that, as discovered in "Midnight Sun", Edward kept the bottlecap from Bella's lemonade. It was a treat for me to find a way to fit it into this chapter.

Reviewer: Starlight623 (Signed) · Date: June 17, 2009 11:34 AM · On: Deadline

I love when Edward calls Renesmee "little love."  I've used that as well in a fanfic.

Evil cliffie, but I understand why you did it there.  Can't wait to see what's next.

Author's Response:

Thank you!

At first I thought that nickname might sound too cheesy, but I decided to go with it anyway.

Reviewer: Holli (Signed) · Date: June 17, 2009 11:22 AM · On: Deadline

That was awesome. I feel even stronger now that your version is better than the original. I'm wondering how you are planning to end it?  I found the original ending very abrupt and it left me feeling unsatisfied.  I have faith that with your creative gift we will all be pleased with the outcome.

Author's Response:

Thank you very much!

I guess I'm not entirely sure yet how this is going to end. I may go a bit further than the book, but we'll have to wait and see.

Wow. THAT WAS GREAT!! Update soon, please. :)

Author's Response:

Thank you!

I'll do my best to get the next chapter ready as soon as I can.

Reviewer: edbellafan (Signed) · Date: June 17, 2009 07:04 AM · On: Deadline

That was the most amazing, heartfelt, emotionally wrought chapter yet!  I'm simply floored by how well that was written...completely flawless.  Is there any minute, tiny detail you don't attend to? I can't think of a single one! I loved the part where they were searching for the picture of the locket.  Because of the size of BD, there were so many LITTLE things that weren't dealt with but you have captured them all here beautifully. THANK YOU again so much for writing this....a huge undertaking, I'm sure, but hopefully you know how appreciated you are...and how many of us out here are loving every word!

Oh...and ya know...that oyster silk dress is on sale right now for $529...what a bargain!!!  Just sayin....    (hehe!)

Truly loved all the extra intimate, romantic moments between Edward and Bella....(sigh...)    :o)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

Now that you mention all those details... you should see all the scraps of paper filled with notes that list out things I want to add or tie in, along with the state of my copy of BD. The binding will be ruined before long; I'll be getting another one when the special edition is released in August.

And that dress. It's just so simple and beautiful. My imagination needed a little more 'raw material' for Bella's outfit, and that picture popped up when I typed "oyster silk cocktail dress" in Google. Not that I could ever afford said dress... but it's fun to pretend. :)

Reviewer: ejh0904 (Signed) · Date: June 17, 2009 06:34 AM · On: Deadline

Wow, what a stopping point!  I'm still so in love with your story, and as it reaches its climax, I find it even more intoxicating.  My favorite thing about this chapter, other than the constantly building tension interspersed with lovely little images of Edward, Bella, and Renesmee together as a family, is the way Edward sees his daughter.  In Breaking Dawn,  Bella repeatedly sees Edward in Renesmee's features, telling Charlie how much like him their daughter is - particularly when Nessie rolls her eyes. *grin*

Here you do the reverse with Edward.  It's so wonderful, seeing the flip-side of the coin.  Edward sees Bella in their daughter in her pout and in her warm brown eyes - I really, really love that touch.  They both see in their child the love that they have for one another.  This is such an amazing fic that I honestly find myself referring to it as Edward's side of the canon - it's just that good.  Flawless job as usual.  Can't wait to see the battle...

Author's Response:

Thank you very much!

I really believe that Bella sees so much of Edward in Renesmee because she has always viewed herself in a less than favorable light, and the same is true for Edward. He has always perceived himself as a monster - even more so when he thought their child would inevitably kill Bella - and that is why he is constantly picking out Bella's traits in their daughter.

And I am truly humbled by your reference to this story as being Edward's side of "Breaking Dawn". Thank you.

Reviewer: Naymee (Signed) · Date: June 17, 2009 02:45 AM · On: Deadline

Wow. So powerful and moving. I love all the Daddy and Nessie time that Edward gets to have too. I really missed that in the book.

Brilliant. Well done.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

I really enjoyed inserting the little 'family moments' in this chapter. I wish there had been more of that in the book, too.
