I stopped when I read that and just stared. How chilling is that? You probably don't think so.. but it was really moving. The whole thing was, really. Just how you wrote her determination, and love towards him. But also the pain because she knows that he is leaving and that he will break her heart. But she can't stop herself from holding onto him, and so she kind of savours every last piece of him, knowing that when he leaves it will make getting over him so much harder.
The alternate ending was much better. Only because he stayed. Although I wouldn't have been gutted if it ended with the 'but it is only to the air' piece. Both were perfect :)

Actually, that is my favourite line. It's mainly why I left that ending in, because I was like 'I really like this line...'
Anyway, thank you for your lovely review! I'm glad you got it and weren't just like "OMG, why did you write that sad ending?! A/J forever!!!" (Of course, there is no harm in liking the alternate ending; I liked it too, which was why I put it in there. It made me happy, rather than left me devastated).
