I am seriously in love with this story! You have a way with these two. I love your Bella and Edward very much and cannot wait to see their friendship bloom into a real relationship :0)

Author's Response:

I love this story too.  I never planned out one thing in this story.  I just let it flow organically, and I think it worked better in the way the affair folds out more naturally.  At least, I think so.

You have turned this into a truly great story. It is so intriguing and fun to read. Very deep and enthralling. You are an excellent writer. Thank you for sharing this with us.

~Mia

Author's Response:

*blush*  I was very entertained writing this story.  it is a wonderful bonus that you enjoy it as well.

"I'm still formulating my theory."  I wonder what she could be thinking.         I like that they are getting to know each other before they declare themselves.  I love the reference to Casablanca, one of my favorites.  I really enjoyed their "date"; thanks for letting me share in it.

Author's Response:

I always missed that courtship type of stuff with them.  The casual getting to know you stuff outside of school.  After the heavy emotion of the last chapter, I just wanted to do something sweet and easy going.

I love Casablanca too.  It never gets old.

I like your original situations here. The romance, the Tiffany...grrr...all around great chapter!

Author's Response:

Thanks.  It is really hard to be original with so much fan fiction out there, so that is just about the best compliment I could get!  I threw Tiffany in there, because I wanted to show the detachment he has from these trysts.  Then, to turn around and see him let down his guard and be himself with Bella.  I liked the contrast.

I like your story.  It's different, and endearing.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading!  I hope I continue to keep it interesting for you!

This chapter was so sweet. I love how Edward is toward Bella. I can't wait for more!

Author's Response:

I really liked the interaction that ended up playing out in this chapter.  I thought it ended up flowing very naturally.  I was really happy how it ended up feeling new, yet with that hint of an old friend.  I'm glad you liked it!

I'm wondering when he didn't buy her the cello? Or does he have one lying around the house? Great chapter. I like the soft side to this incubus.

Author's Response:

Thanks for catching that.  You will get your answer in the next chapter!  ;-)

Loved it. Love the whole story!

I think it is great that E isn't a virgin (and neither is Bella) and E can control himself around humans (well...as far as we know!) bc that "equalizes" the potential for a physical realtionship nicely.

I loved litarary references to Austin and the movie (crap- I am having a blond moment), I love the fact that she plays the cello and is so passionate, so real.

My favorite part, however, was E's deep realization of why he never kisses the women he sleeps with. I was blown away by this - as a shrink I read things on many levels - as a woman, a shrink, a mother..bla bla bla. But I agree - kissing is MUCh more intimate than any sexual act - ANY. Partially bc you are so close physically - I think that is one of the reasons many women went ga ga for Sm's books - bc of all the kissing...although, personally I would have enjoyed a bit (ok, a lot) more (I know, adolescent books...bla bla bla) but you get my drift. Which is why I so enjoy the fanfic...and yours is an amazing replacement (IMHO) for TW...this is so much more intense...Bellas backstory (the affair) is so powerful and makes her a much more poignant and intensely powerful character...

Loving it...and thanks to your beta for the quick pop up. Hopefully you have a few more chapters ready to go...I will wait anxiously. But I understand that i would rather wait, and read something amazing - like this- than have you feel pressured by readers.

Again, well done. And thank you. You are very gifted (but I sense you have heard that a few times before!)

"The Good Doctor" - Karen

Author's Response:

You caught the kissing thing! That was absolutely intensional that he didn't kiss Tiffany.  I agree that the kiss is the most intimate act.  You can remove yourself emotionally from sex, because you don't necessarily have to face what you are doing.  A kiss, on the other hand, requires all the senses.  You can't help but hear it, and smell it, and taste it, and touch it, and most of all SEE the person before and after the act.

I am a sucker for Austen...hense the references.

My beta is awesome.  I plan on continuing to fire away, because this story is completed.  This is my third, and what I thought my best, so I thought I would enter the world of Twilighted with it.  Thank goodness they didn't reject me!  ;-)

Your flattery is overwhelming. I love writing, and the fact that you like what comes out of my brain too is rich, cream cheese icing on my cake. Thanks, doc!

"With her, it would be private and soft and beautiful...like her." Now, that's more like it!  Loved the first date, very sweet.  Bella has a great effect on Edward.  More, please!

Author's Response:

This is why I had to have the scene with Tiffany.  To show the contrast between Incubus Edward and Bella's Edward. I think she has a wonderful effect on him too.  I liked this chapter.  It was sweet after the heavy emotion of the last one.

Reviewer: lisa54aa (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2009 08:06 AM · On: The Ferry

I really love how you are adding dimension to these two.  They are so different yet so perfect for each other.  I know there is some angst in their future, but i have faith in you to bring these two together the way they should be.

Author's Response:

I really wanted these two to both have rich layers to their personalities.  I really wanted them to compliment each other and have some sass.

You are more right than you know about your guess on the future.  Just remember the happy feelings you feel right now, later.

That was so sweet!  I'm really enjoying your story.  Can't wait for the next chapter =)

Author's Response:

I had to give you guys a sweet treat after the heavy emotion of the last chapter.  We had to spend a moment in our happy place.  :-)

Reviewer: chloe9 (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2009 08:03 AM · On: The Ferry

That was such a sweet chapter, it's interesting to see Edward grow a conscience.  :)  I'm looking forward to reading more!

Author's Response:

He is not only growing a conscience, but is beginning to placing someone above himself instead of just under him.  ;-)

Awesome chapter. I'm LOVING this story. =)

*Doing and Alice style happy dance*  I'm happy I'm keeping you intrigued and entertained!

Great chapter. Loved it as usual!!

Can't wait for the next update!

Author's Response:

I'm feeling the love.  I really am!

This is a great story - I love the passion as told through the music...nicely, um, "played" as it were!

:-)

Author's Response:

Thanks!  This was one of my favorite moments in this story.

Reviewer: Morgan (Signed) · Date: February 18, 2009 05:18 AM · On: Sweet Music

Wow, I wasn't expecting that from our Miss Swan, but I guess having her with a bit of experience is better for this story. Great Chapter.

Author's Response:

I wanted to even out their pasts a bit.  Obviously she couldn't have the quantity that our dear Incubus has amassed, but I thought if she had one BIG one...that would do the trick.  I just wanted them both to be in a place where it would be hypocritical to judge the other.

Reviewer: Miss Poison (Signed) · Date: February 18, 2009 04:15 AM · On: Sweet Music

This story is VERY good. A totally new twist on things. I like it.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much!  There are a lot more twists and turns ahead!  Thank-you for reviewing!

Naughty Bella lol!!

Looking forward to more from you soon xx.

Author's Response:

No innocent flowers in this story.  Details will unfold later.  The story is done, actually, and my beta is doing a super job getting my chapters up, so the next one should be posted soon!  Thanks for reading!

Tiffany almost lost conciousness.  Wow.  I like this Edward.  I never like him falling in love with anyone but Bella but sexy Edward is good.  Alice of course is fabulous.   Loved, loved, loved the music scene - something beautiful they have in common.  Poor brokenhearted Bella.  I think she needs to fall in love again.   I cannot wait to read more.

Author's Response:

Tiffany was a total indulgent moment for me.  *evil grin*

I love meddling Alice!

I liked the music store moment too.  It displayed the start of trust between the two of them.  Very important for both of them, considering their pasts, and the BOTH have pasts!  Don't fret too much for our girl.  Good things are ahead.  ;-)

I like the nurturing aspect of Edward's relationship with Tanya.  She is a good friend.  I really like your take on this part of Twilight.

Author's Response:

Tanya is often painted as the villain, but if you look at Stephenie's stuff, she is never anything but a good friend.  People like to see her as competition or a risk, because she once vied for Edward's affections/body, but seriously...which one of us wouldn't do the same?!  :-)  I wanted to show something tender, but not sexual between them.

Definitely an Incubus. I loved the duet. :]

Author's Response:

That was an important chapter for our Edward.

As for the duet, I wasn't sure how people would like Bella as a musician too, but I think it works.  I wish I could of been a fly on the wall in that music shop!

Reviewer: Phoenix Rising (Signed) · Date: February 17, 2009 03:51 PM · On: Sweet Music

I never like the idea of Edward with anyone but Bella (unless it's me, of course, haha!), even in stories where he's with Tanya or some other girl, so scenes with him and some other chick weird me out.  But I can see that they're necessary in this story given his nature.  And I sure didn't see the Bella affair coming!  Well done :)

Author's Response:

I wanted to show the shift in his paradigm in this chapter.  Believe me, it was weird writing Edward with someone other than Bella.  It is why it is only one paragraph.  I also hoped it showed the brevity of the trist.  You'll see the difference compared to something in a later chapter.

Honestly...I didn't see the Bella affair coming either!  This story all came from the moment.  I tried to not plan ahead at all, and just saw where it took me chapter by chapter.  I hope you enjoy the rest!

Reviewer: Camilla (Signed) · Date: February 17, 2009 01:01 PM · On: Sweet Music

Ohhh, you had me here...I thought that we were going back to virginal Bella and aching Edward, and no action at all and you confounded me.

So this is going to be a different story, and I am very interested in it, please continue.

Author's Response:

I wouldn't do that to you!  I decided since Edward had a slutty past, that I would give Bella a tamer, yet tainted past herself to level the playing field a bit.  This is a completed story on my end, and my beta is doing a kick ass job getting my chapters out as fast as she can.  I hope you continue to enjoy!  There are twists and turns ahead!

Reviewer: wendy_beth (Signed) · Date: February 17, 2009 12:52 PM · On: Sweet Music

I oddly like it!

Author's Response:

Me too!  :-)  Lots more in store!  Thanks for reading!

Reviewer: littlebit (Signed) · Date: February 17, 2009 12:10 PM · On: Sweet Music

I likey likey!!! I love when there is a good twist on a an old story!!

Author's Response:

If you like the twists so far...hang on to your hat sister, because these are the foothills of a very bumpy ride!  Thanks for reviewing!!
