Oh my gosh!  You are actually taking this on!  Wow!

I have to tell you your Alice vision in Chapter 1 was absolutely frightening!  Very scary and right on par with what I could imagine - no - it was BETTER than I imagined.  So heartwrenching.  Very well done.

Looking forward to where you're headed with the rest.  I'll be a devoted reader.  Yay!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I agonized over the vision for hours, trying to put together something that would absolutely horrify and motivate Alice to look for a dramatic solution to save them all.  I've always felt the Volturi to be very subtly evil until provoked and wanted to make it clear that, as Eleazar describes them, they definitely had a bad side and a 'my way or die' sort of attitude.

Fasten your seatbelt;  this will be a very bumpy ride!

I'm intrigued......I loved Down the Rabbit Hole, you write beautifully.  Please continue with your story, I'm excited to see where it will go.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I promised this story to several fans of DTRH, so no worries on me finishing it.  They'll hunt me down and strap me to my laptop if I don't!

Really nice chapter. I liked how Alice kinda snapped at Jasper... I know that's weird. o.O But most people portray them as the perfect couple-- and they are. ^.^ But all couples fight. Even perfect ones. And she needed to focus so... yeah.

Author's Response:

Very good point!!  I love them as a couple but I do like playing with the fact that they will disagree because they are such different creatures.  In DTRH Jasper is really bothered that Alice won't take him on her search and later he struggles not to smother her with overprotectiveness while she simultaneously tries to be understanding of that reaction.

Alice not telling him what's going on is so foreign, it makes him very angry, especially since he can feel it's bad.  But Alice knows that now is just not the time.  You'll see a little more of this mixed confused anger in the next section, but once they get moving and Alice spills, he'll see why she was so insistent he just follow.

Jesus, what a start! Wicked

Author's Response:

Thank you!  Buckle in and hang on!  It's going to be a strange and bumpy ride!

Alice and Jasper's last words to each other in the vision totally just made me cry at work.  Whimper.

Those two are my favorite, so it's very exciting to see another story of yours about them. (DTRH was freakin' epic, and I can tell this one is going to be as well.)  Seriously, if it weren't inappropriate and if I didn't know that you had a real life... I'd ask you to constantly update, bwahaha.  I love your writing style and I can't wait to see where this goes.  Eeee!

Author's Response:

Aww!  I hope your coworkers didn't come over thinking your family died and see the screen and shake their heads in confusion!

These two are definitely my favourite as well;  they are both the most intriguing to me and also just so much fun to write.  I'm definitely happy to be playing with this universe again.  As a heads up now, I plan on making a whole series of stories set within my own little spun-off canon, so feel free to favourite the series as well.

I will try and get you more by the weekend!  Deal?

OMG KINDA A FOLLOW UP TO RABBIT HOLE.  I'M SO EXCITED.  Okay, I'm actually going to read the chapter now instead of skipping straight to the review.  Back soon...

It's here! It's really here! I'm so excited about this story! I can't stop using exclamation points!

This beginning was both intriguing and spot-on. This is going to be great.

Author's Response:

Yay you're here!!!   Welcome back to my review page!

It took me seriously a WEEK of agonizing to decide how I wanted to start this off (a chapter with prelude, a flash-forward ala Meyer, or BOOM like so).  I'm glad this worked out well!

I will hopefully have a new chapter in the queue in the next couple of days, so depending on validation and all, you should have something more this weekend.  My goal is weekly at this point or more if able;  we'll see!
