Seriously, the wolves need to step off. Hopefully, that's the last we'll read of them. Again, Busybodies...I can't stand them!
It makes me mad that the Cullens have to make sure it's okay with the wolves before they do anything. Screw the wolves. lol
Anyway, I liked this chapter.

I really enjoyed this chapter!!

*rolls eyes* in all fairness, the tribe had no clue about the Volturi. The first vamps they came across, long before the Cullens, probably had no clue about them or they just didn't think it was necessary to tell them about the Vampire Mafia.
However, Jake needs to get over his crush on Bella and get on with his life.
Author's Response: Is the eye roll for my story and writing (in which case, it's a little insulting), or about the tribe being clueless?
I knew the tribe didn't know about the Volturi. That's the point. They had no idea what danger they put Charlie in. The agressiveness between the Cullens and the tribe is just there because of them being what they were born to be--enemies.

The chapter was great.
I like the fact that you are having E call B something besides "Love" which he does in EVERY SINGLE FLIPPING FF STORY. Thank you for making a change! And, don't worry about fixing everything in one chapter...Charlie needs time, drag it out.
AND another thing...as for cranky reviewers (and I know a lot about this from my story). I got a bunch of bitchy reviews a few weeks back. It seemed like EVERYONE was a critic - little things, big things. "This wasn't in the book" that type of thing(and my story is labled AU...in other words, fuck off it is my universe). SO I put an a/n on the beginning of my most recent chapter...and I meant it. If they want something completely like the books they need to REREAD THE BOOKS. I love ff bc I get to see someone else play with these characters- make them different. Shake them up.
This is YOUR WORLD of B and E - do whatever the hell you want with it...tell everyone else to bug off. As for typos...my god, that is what your beta is for...if they slipped through, have them contact HER (and I am not slamming your beta). I edit my chapters a minimum off 5 times, running it though word spell /grammar check at least 5 times. And even with that, and a beta that reads for errors sometimes something slips through...Now if it it rife with errors, then that is a problem. But if it had been I would have stopped reading a long time ago....and I am still here.
If you are bummed, PM me...and if you get a chance check chapter 11 in my story (Shrinking the Violets - you don't have to read the story, just read my a/n...sometimes you have to be a bitch! LOL)
Hang in there...sorry this was so long but I wanted to remind you that a lot of us like this story, THE WAY IT IS IN YOUR MIND...don't let a bunch of bully's make you change it. If they don't like it, they can stop reading it! They don't need to leavy bitchy reviews...that is just rude. My mother raised me better than to do that!
Good luck, and thank you for posting another chapter!

Author's Response: Karen--I thought I favorited your story because I loved it, but I guess I didn't. I'll do that when I get done with this.
The weather's been cloudly almost all week. Now it's cold. That almost always affects my mood.
I've been being bolder about defending my story. I try to do it in a nice way, as long as the person writing it did. If I don't like what they say, I delete it. Thanks for the advice, darlin'.

I liked it and I think you have Jake right....I'm also not a big Jake fan-too immature, etc, and how can Bella deny her true love with Edward, anyway?
looking forward to some one on one action with Edward and Bella!

How hot was that!!! Very sensual without being sordid! I loved Edward bitch slapping Lauren. Pleased update soon.
I'm sure your friend would be honoured to have such a great piece of writing as a memorial.
Author's Response: Thank you, nox. I'm glad my lemon was too citrusy.
Carol died several years ago, and when she did, she only had her immediate family around her. As her sickness progressed, she shut all her friends out because she wanted to be remembered as the vital person she once was. This story--the Lauren speech--made me smile and think of her. Thus the dedication.

This "dramatic forest scene", as you called it, is extraordinarily powerful. So many poignant emotions ran rampant all over while I was reading it... absolutely amazing. By nature, I'm very much one of those horrible lurkers who never says anything, but this dragged me out of my little hole. I'm in love with the scene. How much I would pay to see it acted out on the screen... Thank you very much for writing this fic. I'm going to fail my exams, but reading what I have so far has had an infinitely greater pull than studying. :D
Author's Response: Thanks for the kind words, Miss Jadey. I am honored that you would think enough of my story to come out of lurkdom to write a review. Thank you.
I try very hard to write things using a lot of imagery. If I can feel it as I write it, then I think it transfers well to the reader.
Now go study! I want A's, young lady! A's!--lol!

AN UPDATE FROM NOFANGSALLOWED!!!
*jumps up and down*
YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!
I LOVED when Edward told off Bella. Probably my FAVORITE part of the story..except for Rose's line. It was nice to see her being defensive of her one day sister. haha. SUCK ON THAT LAUREN!! hahah.
I also loved the emotion that you wrote in with Charlie and Bella. My heart was breaking for both of them. I know how much Bella must miss Charlie...especially because she seemed closer with him than in SM's version. Hopefully he'll come around. Maybe Bella will even skip bloodlust here and she can live with Charlie for ahwhile before she gets married.
I love love love love love love love love love love love love love loved this chapter.
Author's Response: Edward told off Lauren, not Bella--I'm sure that sentence was just a mistake. I'm so glad that you liked it. Lauren so deserved it.
The whole thing with Charlie and Bella is very important to me. I wanted them closer than in the books. As a parent, I can't imagine being as detached from your child as Charlie was with Bella. I want to know about my kids' days and participate in their lives. I have met parents who don't have a paternal bone in their bodies, but it's such a completely foreign concept to me that I just can't fathom it, even as a writer. So, my Charlie and Bella have more of a bond.
Charlie does miss her, but the wolves have filled his head with so much that he's scared of his own daughter. I will resolve that next chapter. I'm working on it, but I'm not happy with it yet. Thanks for reading, agiismsxx.

*stands and applauds the Cullen crowd* WHOO!! That was fabulous!! Edward your speech was great *swoon* very swoon worthy baby at the end.
Keep up the great writing!!!
Jace
Author's Response: Thanks for the cheers, dear. The whole Lauren thing was so fun to write! I really thought about what Edward would say and kept revising it until I was happy with it. I added the whole thing about the lettuce in the teeth when another reviewer said it would be funny--she was right. Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked it Jace.

This was a fantastic chapter. And for some reason I haven't been getting my updates *sniffle* and I'm behind. I can't wait for more!!
Jace
Author's Response: I don't know what happened with the updates with this chapter. I've favorited my own stories so that I can better keep track of when they are updated. I didn't get the update for this chapter either. Thanks, Jace.

I think you portrayed really well the unintentional but very real negative effect Edward's self-loathing has on Bella's self-esteem and trust in his feelings toward her. Bella's "soul mates" speech and his reaction and response were great. Yeah, I loved Edward's telling off Lauren--terrific!
Author's Response: Thank you. I am really trying to portray Bella and Edward more as a couple who works through their problems together, rather than Edward ruling the roost and Bella cowering. I'm glad it's working for you.
Reviewer: twilover09 (Signed) · Date: March 26, 2009 01:09 PM · On: Chapter 25: Telling
Okay, just for having Edward and the rest of them tell Lauren off like that, I completely forgive you for all the little twists and problems in the story so far!!! That was brilliant! :o)
I love seeing Bella and Edward working stuff out too, they're just too darn cute together, and I really like that in this story Rosalie likes her and sticks up for her too. I hope that Charlie comes around soon, he's always tolerant and accepting of things (in BD he had an idea of the truth and just overlooked it). Hopefully the Quileutes will also come around. I can't wait for the next chapter, this is such an amazing story!!!!
Author's Response: Thanks. I'm glad that I'm forgiven for whatever I needed to be forgiven for. Thanks for all the nice comments about what you liked about the chapter, and thanks for reading.

I loved this chapter. You did a terrific job with Edward. I love this passage so much:
I want you to be a vampire, Bella, so I don’t have to worry about hurting you by a mere touch.” I nuzzled her neck for a moment before turning her to face me so that I could look in her eyes. “I want to know that you will never get sick. I want to stay up talking with you all night because we don’t need to sleep. I want to run and hunt with you by my side.” My hand cupped her cheek, and I used my thumb to outline her plump red lips. I could feel my eyes smolder as they looked into hers. “I want to make love to you like a man should make love to the woman he loves, without worrying about hurting you.” Kissing her forehead, I pulled her against me, “But mostly, I want to spend eternity, walking the earth with you by my side, making you happier than you ever dreamed you could be.”
And I really loved the singing at the end--so intimate.
Author's Response: I loved writing that passage. One thing I really loved about book Edward is that he was so sweet when he told Bella that he loved her. I tried to carry that through to this story too. Thanks for reading and telling me what you liked about it.

Well I have to admit you have my attention. Its kind of a POV of a vampire "imprint" Like Quille watching Claire having to grow up. I'm looking forward to more
PS Telling Edward not to attack the kleenex or eat it was hilarious
