I just finished reading the three chapters you have up and WOW that was amazing.  There is so little out there in EPOV and so little that captures his "voice".  You have done that amazingly well.  I read in your reviews that you have lost his "voice" and are stuck...I sincerely hope that you find it again and continue on with your story because it is truly one of if not the best EPOV I have ever read.  I'm sorry if this sounds pushy but please, please try to recapture his "voice" because it is soooo hard to find authours of EPOV such as yourself....excellent job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good... I sincerely hope you write more!

Such a great story and we have not heard in so long. I am hoping you have not given up on this story, because it is one my favorites. I like it a lot!

I hope you are planing on taking up writing more chapters for it, if only to give it a decent ending at least. But I am hoping for more story...I want to know where this is going...

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for the review!  I'm sorry I haven't written any more :-<.  I've lost Edward's "voice" and I'm stuck.  I'm really hopeful that the new movie will help me "find" it again.  I really appreciate your encouragement!!!

I'm enjoying your story. I think the parts of New Moon and Eclipse you've chosen are some of the most interesting parts of the whole series. I'm looking forward to more. Please post again soon!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I've been a bit (okay, a *lot*) stuck for a while, but I hope I'll get inspiration from the movie.  Thanks so much for the encouragement and letting me know you like what I've done so far!!!

Excellent fic. ^_^ Edward's conflict is portrayed very well here and I would love to read more. Are you going to continue to update or is this the end?

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for the encouragement!  I have really clear ideas for about a half dozen more scenes, but I have lost Edward's "voice" :-<.    It's killing me!  I'm really hoping that the movie will help me find it again!  Thanks for letting me know you like what I've done so far!

I enjoy first person fiction, but it is sometimes so limiting.  This, from Edward's pov, shows just how desperate he is, to have Bella away from Jacob and all to himself.  Keep up the good work.  Even though we know how it turns out, Bella herself, at this point, does not.

Author's Response:

Thank you for your insightful review!  I hope I'll find Edward's "voice" again after the movie and continue this for a few more selected scenes!

Reviewer: twilight gypsy (Signed) · Date: September 05, 2009 10:36 AM · On: Hunting Wolves

I am glad that Edward is sad.  He should never have left.  Serves him right.

You showed his angst very well.

Author's Response:

;-b

Like I said in my intro, I read Midnight Sun first, so my sympathies were always with Edward.  I'm just glad Bella forgave him and took him back!  But I definitely take your point - Bella suffered horribly, and it's only fair that he did, too, since it was his fault!

Very nice writing.  I like your turn of phrase.  Looking forward to more...

This is a really insightful and well-written piece!  I'm really excited to see where you go with it!  This story is going on my favorites for sure!

Wanna know which chapter I can't wait for?  The tent scene!  I'm sure you wont disappoint!

Great job!

Author's Response:

Wow!  Thank you so much for the great review - I'm so glad you like what I've done so far!!!  The tent scene is sooo far away but I'm excited to get to it, too!  Thanks for your faith in me :-D.

Are you Stephenie meyer in disguise??...lol ;-)

Yours is one of the few EPOV's that sound like Edward. The essence of writing well is to understand the character perfectly, and to write about a character someone else created requires lootttt of understanding. I am soo happy you have captured the true essence of Edward. His thoughts and feelings seem just like something Edward would do or feel.

Just like you I also wasn't aware of fanfic until a couple of weeks ago and now have become completely addicted to it...after all anything twilight related is better than none rite ;-)

I also want to tell you that Eclipse is my favourite book in the whole saga (mostly because of the triangle and Edward's jealousy and possessiveness...lol) and have tried to search for good fanfics providing Edward's view and you are capturing all the scenes where I wanted to hear his thoughts! I would love to read him in the chapter Switzerland and the one preceding it. I read that you write slow but not to worry, I am willing to wait and trust me - your writing is worth it :-)

Author's Response:

Oh my goodness you've just blown me away with your epic review!  Thank you sooooo much!  Comparing me to SM might give me a swelled head, but I value the compliment more than I can say!

I love that Eclipse was your favorite book of the saga!  I wish SM would write it from Edward's POV, but until then, I'll do my best!  And yes, fanfic Twilight is definitely better than no Twilight - and I've actually fallen in love with quite a few of the ff stories just as much as the actual books.  Definitely addicted, but it's a good addiction, I think! :-D

Thanks also for your patience :-D.  I've got a good rough draft of the rest of this scene (where Edward refers to Jacob as a "dog"), but I just can't get it polished up a way that I like it :-<.  It will get there, it just might take a while - thanks for your faith in me!

I love how Bella distracts Edward (um, Easily Distracted?) as much as he distracts her. I've always seen Edward as a very sensous beast, not just the angsty monster. Looking forward to more!

Author's Response:

I hadn't thought of that consciously, but I definitely agree.  I just keep thinking of how Edward barely brushes Bella's cheek (Midnight Sun / Twilight), and those tiny feather-touches just fill his sense and mean the world to him.  It just seems reasonable that once he can actually touch her and kiss her that every contact will be more of the same.  Since I read MS first, I had a hard time sympathizing with Bella thinking he didn't want her in that way ;-D.

Reviewer: aerosoldoc (Signed) · Date: June 09, 2009 07:48 PM · On: Hunting Wolves

Oh the sweet, sweet agony of being Edward! I love your rendering of his tortured thoughts! It sounds pitch perfect to my well trained Edward ear!

Darn it. I'm staying up to read that last chapter...

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I'm just starting your EPOV, but I think we definitely have similar views of him!  You've spent a lot more time in Edward's head that I have, though, so I am very humbled by your praise!

Reviewer: aerosoldoc (Signed) · Date: June 09, 2009 07:31 PM · On: A Different Kind of Monster

Love it. No, LOVE IT! Seriously.

I am intrigued by the idea (however fleeting and not fully resolved) that Edward would like to change Bella to lock her into loving him for all eternity. I had thought before (casually) about the idea of eternal vampire love, but more in the context of a special vampire bonding (ala imprinting) - and not so much the idea of unchanging vampire love because vampires are unchanging. However, we know that vampires DO change, at least in the evolution of their characters (witness Edward's personal evolution), so why CAN'T vampires fall out of love and go to vampire divorce court?

Any fanfic that's got me thinking this hard is a complete WIN! Thank you for writing, and I'm on to the next chapter!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading the whole thing and for reviewing all the chapters!!!

Now *your* comment has me thinking!  How much does Edward actually change?  Or how much is him just not holding himself back any more (which in itself is a kind of change), or how much is he just rediscovering his humanity - and is that actually change, or just a kind of recovery from decades of dysthymia?

And just to ramble further - I know part of the criticism of BD is that Bella's "voice" is no longer as accessible or as understandable to the reader once she becomes a vampire, but I thought that was definitely a strength of the book.  Becoming a vampire makes her *different* - her body is different, her experiences are different, and she starts to think differently.  So how much of the Edward we know from MS is how he was before he died / Changed?  Because, as a character, his thoughts were *very* understandable to me - just resonated with me - so has he just gotten past the differences of being a vampire?...  Must think on that more... ;-D

The whole "unchanging relationships" thing, though, definitely struck me from just a few paragraphs in MS (page 109).  I actually didn't think of it in depth until your review ;-D, just thought of it as kindness from SM.  Even "True Love" for humans is hard enough over decades - how else could vampires form relationships at all with millennia ahead of them?  Hmmm - I just typed that out so I might disagree with myself in the morning, but maybe that kind of unchanging love is necessary for SM's vampires to even exist - if even true love was fleeting (over decades) why not slaughter any human - or even any other vampire - since any feelings for them will be gone almost immediately (compared to their immortal lifespan)...

The point that I thought was *really* interesting about the whole unchanging-vampire-thing that I'll definitely include in the later Eclipse chapters - that I swear I thought of myself but Lofi (Cutting Cords) incorporated so beautifully that I can't mind that she beat me to it ;-D - is that if Edward changes Bella before she breaks things of with Jacob, would she be forever torn between the two men?  And does Edward realize this and is it part of his reasons for letting her spend more time with Jacob?

Thanks for the nudge to delve even deeper!  PM me if you're inspired to think on this more or take it in another direction!

Are you going to continue this story? I have enjoyed the first installments. I am hoping you will continue, because there is so much rich material to work with and you write very well and with imagination. I would love to see more of this story! I hope you will continue to write it!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for the encouragement!!!  I have tons of ideas for scenes throughout Eclipse but I am glacially slow, sorry!  I have a rough draft of the next bit, but I'm having so much trouble editing it that I've let it sit for a little while.  Maybe it will be easier to hit it fresh!  I hope to have it done in the next couple / few weeks.  Thanks for your patience and thanks for the nudge to keep working at it!

Reviewer: lotetree (Signed) · Date: May 09, 2009 08:41 PM · On: A Different Kind of Monster

This is excellent.

I really enjoyed your insights into the characters and look forward to much, much more!

You are a very creative and talented writer!

Author's Response:

Wow!  Thank you so much!!!  I've got a rough draft of the next bit but I've hit a wall on editing it down to readability.  I'm sorry for being so slow on updating!  Hopefully I'll get through this block in the next couple weeks!

Loved this first chapter and it was very Edward!  I would love to also hear the tent scene and the Bella/Jacob kiss scene (both of them).  I know I am greedy but I just crave it!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I'm thrilled that you like what I've done so far that you're already asking for more!  The tent and B/J kiss scenes are definitely on my list, but I'm writing (agonizingly slowly, I know, sorry!!) chronologically, so it may be a little while...  Thanks for the encouragement to keep working!

I love your writing - you capture Edward's POV really well and I look forward to more!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I'm a bit stuck on the next bit (as usual *sigh*) - thanks for reading and being patient with my slow updates!

What a wonderful introspective of Edward; I hope you plan to continue!

Author's Response:

Thank you, thank you!  Yes, I'm working on the next bit now - I'm just glacially slow, sorry!  Thanks so much for patiently watching for my updates and encouraging me with great reviews!  :-D

Great story.  You've done a great job getting inside Edward's head.  :) Please write more soon

Thank you so much!!!

These stories are great!  Could you please do a chapter on the night Edward proposes to Bella in Eclipse?  It seems like a cool chapter for Edward's pov, I'm really sick of Bella's pov on everything!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  The proposal scene is now definitely on my list :->.  I'm determined to go in chronological / book order, though, so it may take me a while.  I know I'm glacially slow - thanks in advance for being patient and watching out for my updates!

Reviewer: wantmoretwilightnow (Signed) · Date: March 30, 2009 02:27 PM · On: A Different Kind of Monster

I found Edward's sudden control-freak nature equally disturbing, but you humanized it quite well :-)

Thank you - this was wonderful!

Aww, thank you so much!!!
