Actually I did not find this ooc for Edward at all. I was thinking when you warned use of Edward being intense in this chapter it would be some just way out there act of revenge and suffering, but this fit well and it is not hard to imagine this is what he would have done to James or anyone else who hurt Bella.

Ok I have to admit I have read quite a few fanfictions where a "bear" attack explains what happened to Bella. This is well written and I can't wait to see whats in the back yard

Poor Edward is confused. He wants his Bella, not his super-Bella! He seems to wonder where this leaves him, and them.
My theory is that Bella can absorb other's powers, and multiply them in herself. I'm excited for the next chapter to find out whether or not this is correct!

I definitely don't think you need to apologize. The loss of Charlie, Renee, and Phil is tragic but it's your story and frankly the actions ARE in character with what we've come to expect from Victoria. I must say, though, I am happy for some sort of reunion and, dare I say it, a little joy in the story?! :)
