I'm so glad that I've discovered your writing...it's absolutely exquisite.  I love the way you use repetition to get your message across, but it's never excessive.  And the way you've captured Edward's emotions is so in character and beautiful.  Thanks for sharing this...lovely job!

How wonderful.  Brought tears to my eyes at the end.  Thank you so much.

Wow, this is just exquisitely beautiful.  I love the way you have shown Edward's character.  His slow journey toward the unknown Bella who awaits him in his future.  You hint so delicately, yet exactly enough, at the losses which are necessary to bring them together.  And each vignette across the years is just so poignant.   Beautiful, beautiful story-telling.

I thought I had reviewed when I first read it, but see that somehow I didn't, or it didn't post.  So here is a reprise.

Bravo!

An absolutely beautiful take on Edward. I loved the bits with his mother and Esme.

Just gorgeous. Thank you.

Wow, what an amazing, gut-wrenching, heart-breaking read. I'm so glad this got recommended to me. I absolutely shattered when Carlisle told Edward it never got any easier to be alone, and when Edward was gone during NM. What vivid, gorgeous imagery you evoke here.

I love, too, how you worked through his relationship with each family member--the Joy of Sex part was both funny and lovely at once. And I like very much the idea that Edward gave his mothers' pieces away as gifts. It was a really nice twist on the whole idea.

Masterful writing, and just a beautiful piece all around. Thank you for sharing this.

I loved it!! That was beautiful.. Sadly, in the book it seems that Bella has not grasped the significance of him giving her the diamond heart or his real heart. But it's a very good study of Edward..

Thank you for that little piece of the utterliy sublime.  I read it all with a bittersweet smile, feeling my heartbreaking for Edward, and waiting for his time to come.

Soon.

Just gorgeous!

houroflead recommended this story in the MML thread... i have to say BRAVO

i've never read anything like it, you captured what edward was sure to have been feeling perfectly - to the t - amazing story

This is absolutely lovely!  I love how you kept using the "whole heart" theme, which of course tied in quite well with the heart charm Edward gave Bella.  And the idea that Edward drew a picture of Bella before he'd ever seen her...and such a romantic, mature picture at that...very intense.

Thank you!

Oh, I liked this!  Very nice.  I missed it at Christmas. :-)

Reviewer: houroflead (Signed) · Date: February 05, 2009 01:18 PM · On: One Shot

This was really lovely.  The writing is eloquent and your use of repetition is sparse but timed such to be entirely effective.  I love the span of time and images of Edward masturbating never hurt anything :)

The human peppered in was very fitting and subtle.

Great work.

That was beautiful.

It was so very Edward.  You really captured him well.

Oh, and the mental picture I got from your End Notes was totally weird and awesome.  Tee hee.

This is really, really wonderful.  Adding to my Favorite Stories for sure.

Oh, wow.  ::wipes a tire from her eye::  The ending literally made me tear up with happiness.

This is magnificent.  Your snapshots of Edward's long life capture him perfectly.  I loved getting into Edward's head; your characterization is spot on.

Thank you for this journey.
