This story is really well done. I love the levels of connections in this story and how we keep learning more about the relationships. This chapter involved a lot of quality character development and great writing.
Jasper and Bella's relationship makes a lot more sense knowing how controlling he got after Bella's rape. He overcompensated for the violence that happened to his friend and made her life like hell. I like that Edward and Bella asked Alice to come with them. Jasper did not seem overly concerned about her, instead he focused like a laser on keeping Edward from Bella. He needs to regroup and think about his life.
James and Laurent had very interesting backstories too. James owns his depravity when he raped Bella or killed the other women, but he focuses his anger on Jasper and not being able to save his sister. It was more interesting to see how Laurent let his anger at Irina's hurt over losing Edward lead him to kill the woman that he loved most in the world. Instead of blaming himself for her murder, he focuses his anger on Edward. Time to look in the mirror. I think that it is hilarious that he thinks that he is so much better than James. James' sick twisted mind is a kindred spirit to Laurent's twisted logic.

To answer your last question, YEP. Now answering your previous question, i think Bella will probably screamed at Edward and kick his ass even with a broken shoulder for even thinking about suicide if she dies, but in the end, i think she'll realize she'd probably do the same thing. This was a great chapter, and i can't wait for more.

That's one hell of a convoluted chain of events to get those two together.
And it's always a toss up between being stunned that a partner will want to end their life if their other half dies, and seeing it as this incredibly strong bond that simply wouldn't allow them to survive the other very long. How many older couples pass within weeks or less of each other? I've known more than a few in my lifetime, but I've also known a fair number of hanger-on's that lasted a decade or more - usually for love of their family around them from all I've been able to see :)

Wow it's scary how entertwined Edward and Bella's lives were, even before they met.
Great chapter. So glad Bella survived. I know you had LPOV first and in it Laurent said he was going to kill James but I was still worried that he'd miss. Can't wait to see how Bella will react to Edward's admission.
Poor Alice. Hope she can work things out with Jasper, even if he is a jerk atm.

There is one connection I missed/don't remember because I read too many fics: "Anthony (Edward) to Marie (Bella) who helped her at the mental hospital." What chapter does that take place in?
Author's Response: The Anthony/Edward and Marie/Bella was discovered at the end of chapter nine and the beginning of chapter ten. Hope that helps.

I absolutely love this story!! The twists just keep coming, and there is never a dull moment!! Bella and Edward's lives have been intertwined long before either of them knew it, and they have already helped each other get through hard times before (at the institution).
I also wanted to say that I am in awe of you as a storyteller. It must take a lot of pre-planning and co-ordinating to have such a convoluted storyline work out properly, and so far yours hasn't been confusing. There haven't been any plot mistakes or screw-ups, and you've been awesome at keeping a tab in the A/N to make sure everyone can follow it. Plus, I love how you write. I will definitely make sure to keep reading your stories!! And I can't wait to read more of this story. Hopefully you update soon!!

Very complex storyline. I love it.
For a second there though I thought Laurent had missed and hit Bella. I was like, "NO WAY! HE MISSED?!" but then I read forward, so no worries. =P
I feel really bad for Alice, poor thing!

I hope Bella yells at Edward and manages to convince him suicide is not the answer. That was a stupid reply (a good story though).
