"It's not so much what you can tell her; it's more that she wants to see how controlled you are."        Ah, now it makes sense. Bella's request, I mean.

'"When you say ‘we', are all of your decisions about your future linked to Fred?"        "Of course, why wouldn't they be?" What was he getting at?        "No reason, I just wondered."    His words caused a nagging fear to creep to the surface.'        In me they caused a nagging curiosity. I feel something behind Edward's question.

'"Seth's a nice kid. He sees beyond what we are. He's more interested in who we are."(...)        "I could ensure he gets your number. Perhaps he could let you know when he will be alone and you could call him back."'        About Seth: totally agree. About Edward's idea: excellent!        :-D

I laughed to myself as I headed back to the cottage.'        Bree did well, didn't she? And first Seth, now Bella. Her ring of phone numbers (and friends) is expanding.        ^_^

Hooray for Bree, she didn't lose control and she may have made another friend.

Edward's concern about Bree's attachment to Fred is because he's privvy to Rosalie's thoughts. He knows she wants Bree to live with her and Emmett, she doesn't want Fred as well. They may not be the best of friends, but he's still worried about his sister.

Nicely done. You made her control - and lack of control believable. In comparison to Bella's control in Breaking Dawn; I think you were spot on with Bree's. In other words; you remained canon - for Bella's control was almost supernatural.

I also noticed Bella wasn't to pleased with Bree's answer as to whether she would rather have remained a human if given a choice. Which I found strange; given Bella's totally different circumstances. Fred is Bree's friend - not her mate, whereas Edward is obviously Bella's mate. Like I said... totally different motivations. :-)

Thanks for an enjoyable change from the norm. :-)

Thanks for your review. Bella's reaction in my mind had no impact on her decision to become a vampire. She had concerns about how she would be after the change. Hearing Bree say she would prefer to still be human, just wasn't what she wanted to hear. Bella's motivation is the resaon Edwards plan failed. He assumed that hearing Bree say that would change Bella's mind. Silly boy.
