'The second the words left his mouth I knew I didn't want to leave without him. He had given me a way out, but I didn't want it. I wanted a family, but I wanted to be with Fred too. I didn't know why, we weren't that close really; we had barely spoken before today. I just needed to know that he was okay.' In other circunstances, I would think he is her mate. But, since Jasper didn't feel the corresponding vibes between them, I will stick with the friendship option, until proven otherwise. Probably her first real friend.
“There's something not right about this coven. I know Jasper said Carlisle didn't change him, but he changed the others. Don't you think they're all a bit odd? I mean we don't know what sort of doctor this Carlisle is. Maybe he's a psychiatric doctor and he's changing his patients. That could explain their reaction to my comment to Alice.” A psy...? Heheh!! I will grant Fred that, he has imagination. His theory is completely off the mark, of course, but makes sense. :-]
“Hi, Bree.” The trill, bubbly voice came through the receiver. “Could I have a quick word with Fred?” Oh, Liz! A cliffie! That was mean. Now we will be on the edge till next update, eager to know what the pixie is up to. ACK!! :-P
Author's Response: You've caught on to how I see Bree. It's not unusual for children that grow up in an abusuve home to not have close friends. She also longs for what seems on the surface to be a 'proper' family. She feels she has a chance to have both.
Fred just thinks they're all a bit odd and is trying to find a logical reason for the way they choose to live.
Not too long 'til the next update. Alice is not very patient.
