Interesting idea. You portrayed Carlisle's loneliness and misery beautifully.

I can't remember how this idea came to me, but I really like it now. It gave me a way of showing exactly what you said - his loneliness and misery of being in a place he didn't fit.

So of course I loved it, but I can't stop wondering from whose POV it is. It is a female who does not drink herself... I was thinking a human like Gianna, but then a human would never have been left alive. As for the length, you get extra props for conciseness. It is refreshing to read something concise, especially when so many stories are overly wordy :)

I'm not really sure who it is that's watching. Sometimes I wonder if it is a member of the Volturi guard, who does drink blood, but is more fascinated by Carlisle. Or like you said, it could be one of the humans. Or, it could even be someone who went to the Volturi for a place in their coven..who knows. I never actually decided.

Wow. PIC, this is amazing! The real Carlisle is right there! Short, but perfect. I loved the description of his eyes when he watched the Volturi feed, the disgust he didn't show but that was there...WOW!

Brick with love!

*shakes head at you* You make it sound better than it was, but thank you :) I don't know how Carlisle stayed there for so long when he knew of the way they fed. I know there were other reasons, but still..not easy for him to witness and do nothing about.

P.s brick with love for you, too.

That's really, really beautiful! It completely sums up the Volturi, vampires and humanity in general in such a poetic way. Thanks for sharing! And tell your banner maker that she did an amazing job too!

Mysterious and melancholy. I like it.

I'm glad you liked it :) I think mysterious and melancholy are two suitable words to describe this!
