I don't think that SM could have written it better!  It fits perfectly.

I know this is a one-shot, but you make me wish it was longer, lol. I like Em's reaction (go figure, huh? lol), but I think all their reactions were characteristic. So no worries. This reader didn't think they were ooc. ;)

Author's Response:

funny enough, Ive had people request me to continue on FFN...surprised, I suppose, because that event seems to be the start of so many fanfics. I admit to considering it...but that's as far as i've gotten:) Thanks for the note!

You are so good! Between this and the Fred story, I am just so impressed!

Author's Response:

awwww THANK YOU!  I'd like to say practice makes perfect, having spent (gosh) nearly 7 years in the HP fanficdom... but really, it's a complete other beast:) Different characters, different storylines, and different audiences!  It was odd coming in as an 'unknown' writer...so it's really wonderful to see how you all are welcoming me!

good. I never actually thought about what happened at that side of the story. really good !

Author's Response:

It always bothered me; I mean would you leave your best friend without saying goodbye? Esme treated Bella like her own daughter...do you REALLY see her leaving a child behind?  I knew there needed to be some reason behind it! Thanks for agreeing!

I say it's a reasonable explanation.  Bravo!

I think that's very reasonable. I like the other Cullen's perspectives.

Thank you for your story.

I do think it's a reasonable explanation- no one's fault they underestimated Edward's stubborn streak.

I think it's totally reasonable, great job:)

I think it's reasonable that the Cullens would have given Edward the space to learn this lesson. I think Carlisle would probably have discussed his concerns about the pull of a mate with Edward first but I can see this scenario as part of a bigger one. Well done.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I had considered they might try to talk him out of it...but realized that Carlisle usually lets them make their own mistakes (think Edward's rebellion) and after all that time, they know how stubborn he is when he thinks he's right...that all being said, i still don't think they all would've laid back and AGREED with him (esp. alice!)
