Usually I avoid any work that has the voice of God in it. This is because the majority of the writers who talk about God heap all of there disillusionment and heart poison into their works. So when I saw your banner and I read your excerpt I was thrilled. Then I read your story and I almost cried at some parts. You hit right on the head one of the best traits of our Creator, the Grand Chess Master, The Almighty Play Director. There is a purpose for every despicable, disgusting thing that happens in our lives. This along with the great things that happen, makes up the grand Chess game, the glorious play and the beautiful tapestry that is the world spinning. And if your are lucky and are paying attention your get to see some of the beauty that is that plan. Good writing. Keep working on this craft. You have a gift.

Ps. I also would like a sequel.

You know you're awesome. You know I like it. Enough said.

I was amazed with this story from the first lines. The great idea! I think I know where it came from, I was all WTF with the Bree situation in the books. It was unfair.

Wonderful solution, since we all know that every vampire must have a special feature. Ellie's story was heartbreaking (I must just note it was really hard to read in italics all the way through) and I know many people don't like heaven being the solution for the HEA, but I find it very hopeful! We need something to believe in, IKR?

Again, it's a very original story! Thank you and good luck in the contest!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for the kind words. I remember hearing that even SM herself was wishing she could change Bree's fate, but she was boxed in by the ending she had already created in Eclipse. The story started as just Ellie's letter and then morphed from there when my amazing beta prompted my to reach deeper:)

I understand about the italics, but I'm rather limited in the formatting choices on the site. There aren't really any good options to differentiate the voices. If I can find one, I'll be sure to change it. FYI- it's really hard to EDIT a story in italics too. I can never get the cursor in the right spot!

Thanks!  After reading the novella, I really wish Stephenie had ended Eclipse differently, and now I'm glad I got a chance to see Bree get a happy ending.

Author's Response:

That's how I felt too. I really started to like Bree's character, and I wanted her to have a chance to redeem herself. I'm planning to do a multi-chapter story that would further explore this alternative universe. Thank you for the review!

Where do I begin?

How about from the Author's notes? The excerpt from Job and Psalms is so powerful, so clever. You captivate us from the start.

I love the witty, tongue-in-cheek voice of God, I snickered a few times while reading.

How can I not fall in love with kind and protective Eloise? She made Bree's life worthwhile, if it wasn't for Ellie, Bree would never have learned what unconditional love was and probably wouldn't have grown to be as smart and compassionate girl as she ended up to be.

Your idea of giving Bree a special talent and the talent itself blew me away!  I will follow you around and nag you until you start writing more. You just got to continue with this plot!

What an excellent story! Thank you for sharing it with us.

I wish you best of luck in this contest. I, for one, know who I am going to vote for! :)

Love,

DK

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your kind words. If it wasn't for your help, this story would never have made it out of my head and onto the screen. You really helped me to bring out the emotion and feeling of the piece. Your insight and encouragment mean a lot to me. I'll be chatting with you :)
