I'm glad things are finally over with Venessa. She just wasn't right for him at all.
Loved that Bella showed up on his doorstep for Halloween. Bella and Edward's "costums" were perfect. lol. Black lether to keep him up at night and who doesn't like a man in uniform. :)
I am interested to see how your going to get Jake out of the picture. I'm assuming the little "fight" Edward witnessed is going to be part of it but at the moment Bella and Jake seem joined at the hip.
Author's Response: Oh the scene where Jacob was yelling across the house wasn't a fight. Bella just happened to be in another part of the house and Jacob was shouting across to her.

Author's Response: Someone asked me this on FF actually. Jacob was just yelling across the house to Bella. It was completely insignificant. There were no harsh words or anything. I think I decided that it was about their Halloween plans but I don't remember.
By the way I'm reading Bethaboo's story for your contribution to the contest and I'm loving it. Thanks for sharing!!

well i for one am glad vanessa and edward are through. he's just not into her and it's completely frusterating to sit and read the forced enthusiam and awkwardness emanating from him. it makes me feel bad for vanessa, b/c she is nice, but also bad for edward (even tho he's being an ass. he should've ended it long ago.) anyway. i'm loving this. so obvious bella feels the attraction too...

I completely agree. Both parties have room for sympathy so it's hard to say which one is more at fault. Vanessa for pressuring Edward to be with her? Or Edward for pretending to care for Vanessa? It's a tossup.
Oh and you know Bella is totally into it. Haha!

I actually feel kind of bad for Vanessa now. She loves Edward and he's totally not there with her. Lovely little smut piece though. Any chance of us getting a peek into Bella's current lovelife?
Author's Response: Yeah, she's just a casuality of a relationship that's stronger than her love for Edward. There's nothing little about how much she cares for him but in the end it just can't hold a candle to how strongly Edward feels for Bella, whether he realizes the extent of it or not. I'm kind of on the fence about a Bella and Jake one. Her POV is pretty scarce as is And everyone seemed only semi-comfortable with the Vanessa and Edward one in the first place so I'll see how I feel later on in the story. To me I should at least to do one since it's only fair. Either way if people are highly opposed to the idea they can just do themselves and myself a favor and not read it. It really doesn't bother me if they don't read it.

I didn't know that Bella wasn't at the press conference, but I think that is adorable. He is looking at her for help already. I don't mind right now that he is with Vanessa because its not like Bella is on the market or anything. Also, Bella really hasn't done or said anything to Edward that would lead him to believe that she is interested in him.

Officer Valence was ont the phone having a distraught conversation, eh? Does anyone else remember that Bella introduced herself to him in the elevator? and that he thought she was sexy enough to remember her for a while? Besides Emmett and Edward, Valence has been on her case too. The thing with Vanessa is interesting. But I have a feeling that edward needs to be with her a bit till he can get his own personal stuff back in line. At least before he can get with bella. That was an interesting chapter. So does bella know pepole who are working with Fiori? For some reason, I have a weird feeling Jake is a signifigant factor in all that. He's too protective of Bella, and he works with a Bently dealership thing. Plus the driving her around. It's like he's watching her so she wont blab, and making sure no one bothers her, all at the same time... I'll have to wait and see.

ooh, naughty naughty edward....fantasizing like that. but, good. vanessa needs to move the hell on. sure she's nice - but not for edward. great chapters, tho. the pacing of the story is excellent!
