You are doing such an amazing job with this story. You have not rushed it and you have shown how paralizing this kind of violence can be to a person on a continuing basis. I think it is very important that you continue taking Bella through the process of healing and finding peace.
This was a great chapter, continuing Bella's journey as she faces Charlie, and then Billy. Having Charlie share his sorrow with Bella and Edward about pushing Bella closer to Jacob how he treated Edward was important. This is just an amazing story and I think you are so brave to have tackled it. Please keep writing, even if it slows down as you deal with real life. I have favorites that update every few months, but I keep reading!
Author's Response: Thank you so very much for your kind words. They really do mean the world to me. I do plan on still writing this story. I just meant that things are a bit busy for me right now and it might take longer for me to update. Also, when I get stressed I find it difficult to write because I really have to be in the right mood when I write this story. So that's why reviews really help to motivate me. Thank you for understanding if it takes me a while to update. It's so nice to know you will stick with me!

Awesome chapter. I loved the whole confrontation with Billy. And as for what could possibly go wrong? Jacob may decide to show his face again while Edward is hunting.

Of course I want you to write more. Right now, this is one of my favorite stories. You are doing such an excellent job with Edward and Bella's emotions. It's great to see Charlie warming up to Edward.
Since Bella's going to be with the rest of the family soon, maybe a private discussion between Esme and Bella ... and/or Carlisle and Bella could happen. I love when they have a mother or father talk with her.

i am so enjoying your story.
at first, i dont know about raped staff epecially jacob (really nice kid) was involved. but may be if it would be possibly happend with bella & edward. could be the perfect choice "sick twisted jacob". i guess.
if i focus to the relationship with bella & edward and think about story itself, bad guy has to be someone that bella could really trust and even love. then i tought you did the best choice that jacob was the bad guy. (even though i am so sorry for jacob)
anyway i love your bella & edward so much. especialy edward. in your story, edwaed is sooooo edward that i luv. the way he loves bella that is just perfect as it is. as i reading your story, i believe it's gonna be a happy ending anyway.(shoud be) but even though, i really want to know their journey to be found what the deepest and highest love should be.
i read trough the chap1~15 yesterday, and i came beck here if you might have new chapter. and here you are! i am sooo happy to read this new chapter16. and please continue to work on this project. i really want your edward & bella. i will come back here everyday for the next chapter.
only one thing i would like to ask, please dont kill jacob. he is very sick kid in your story.(yes, i really think he is a monster) but may be your bella & edward will learn from this burden to forgive. this is the highest love in the universe i believe.

Yes, I know it is a difficult subject to read at times, but thanks for giving it a chance. I also understand that it can be hard to see Jacob as such a monster. But I'm glad you understand why I chose him as the villain for this story. I am a Bella/Edward fan, but I don't hate Jacob and it is not my intention to insult poor Jacob from the original books.
I'm so happy you love my Bella and Edward. Yes, I really wanted to show their strong love for each other and how it can get them through something this horrible. Although it will be a long and difficult road for them, it will definitely have a happy ending :-)
Yes, it is very difficult to decide what Jacob's fate will be. There are many mixed feelings on the issue. I hope most people will be happy with what happens. Thank you for your support!

So much to say. First, I thought I was going to die of happiness from the beautiful way you have Edward interact with Bella. Seriously. I just feel this emotion build up in me til I want to yell out "YES HE'S PERFECT". You keep the tension up in this story, but it's not artificial. You're characterization and pacing has been really good. Just beautiful! You MUST MUST MUST keep writing. I live for this story!! It is my absolute favorite. If people aren't reviewing it's b/c you've struck them dumb w/ your amazing Edward. I mean, Edward in the hands of a talented writer...protecting Bella?? It's surprising we can still string a sentence together. lol. I know how rough grad school is, having been there myself. Had I the brains for Chemistry I would offer to do your work for you so you could keep writing. Alas. But I will say that slacking in grad school is very underrated. And you know, while you're slacking you might want to do something enjoyable....and is anything more enjoyable than Edward?? haha. I hope that you at least continue through the conversation where she opens up to Edward - I could be sort of satisfied if you had to end there.....though of course I would always welcome more. I'll stop begging now, but I just LOVE your writing and this story. Can't wait for more!! :-)

I'm so happy you're loving this Edward and the Edward/Bella interactions. Their interactions are always my favorite to write. I'm very happy to hear you agree with the pacing because that is tricky for this kind of story, but I believe that it is very important to get it right in order to stay realistic. Bella can't heal from something like this overnight, even when she has perfect Edward :-)
He He. With amazing reviews like yours, I just might start slacking in grad school so that I can write more of the story, lol. Don't worry, I do plan on finishing this story. I just meant that things are kind of busy right now and it might take longer to update. But when I know lots of people want to read more it motivates me to write in my break time so that the updates come faster. Because I find that I really have to be in the right mood when I write this story, and when I get stressed I can't write. That's why reviews really help. Btw, the conversation where Bella opens up to Edward will come in the chapter after the next (ch 18).

Well, I'm glad to see that Edward was able to help Bella getting comfortable with Charlie again and that there is a new understanding there. It's going to take some time before Bella can begin to disassociate physical touch with Jacob's, but hopefully the affection and love from Edward will be a reinforcement on how different things are with him. As for Edward's hunt-he definitely needs to go slaughter a few herds of deer. Maybe Charlie likes venison?

I love this story! I never liked Jacob's character, and I seem to relate to him better in this story seeing this is how I see him. Great writing and great stroy. I would like to see Bella have the courage to tell Edward, I think it would make their relationship stronger....
