That was precious. I'm really liking this Ray, he's very perceptive and sweet.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Wow! You packed a lot of SM's books into these 2 chapters; it was great fun reading this! Chapter 3 must be delicious; now you get to have free reign and show us Ray's view of the Cullens' and Jacob's unchanging appearances and newest adventures.  I have a feeling Renesmee figures into all of this more; poor Ray, he doesn't know how close he is to the truth!

Author's Response:

Glad to see that this little tale picked up for you.  :-)  Thanks for the five stars.  Hopefully that 3rd chapter, which is really an Epilogue, also works for you.  As far as having a free reign on showing you Ray's POV - that would have to come in the sequel to this story.  I've started working on it... stalled... worked on it more... and stalled again.  But I see it happening before Breaking Dawn, Part Two hits the theatres.  :-)

Raymond has such a wonderful personality. I love the way this turned out.

Author's Response:

Thank you!

I just adore it.  This is so wonderful!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the note after every chapter!  I adore your response!  :-)

Great idea - personally I think it is canon as well.
Someone was bound to be watching Edward n Bella all those years - they don't exactly blend in ;)

Author's Response:

Thanks for the note!  Epilogue has been sent in, so it should show up soon.  Yeah, like you said, how could someone not be totally captivated with the Bella and Edward show.  :-)

I really like this story! I think you did a great job keeping with the personalities of the characters. And I love the way you developed Ray's character. He really is the opposite of a Mike Newton character, isn't he? I like that you made the one who observes them be male; so often we're under the assumption that only females would notice subtle things like that. I think that it's appropriate that a guy would pick up on Bella's changes more than a girl. Looking forward to reading the epilogue. :) ~Jen

Author's Response:

Thanks, Jen... glad you are enjoying it!  Thanks for the kudos regarding staying within the personalities.  Emmett is a sports fanatic, so him striking up a conversation with Forks star pitcher sounds like something he would do.  Face it... Emmett loves waching sports on TV, so it's safe to say that he would respect someone like Raymond.  Emmett even comes off as someone who would feel a touch of star struck in meeting a famous athlete.  Alice sticking her nose in Ray's business at the Graduation Party is something she would definitely do.  Did you notice how she was checking out the future right there in front of him.  She saw that he wasn't a threat, and therefore let it go.  I took some liberties with the interaction between Ray and the Cullens at the park.  I figured Edward would be respectful and straight forward, whereas Bella would differ to him.  Did you notice thanks to Bella's muddy memories how she didn't recognize Ray at the Restaurant.  Of course her vampire memories would enable her to remember him at the restaurant.  It would be just like Bella to feel terrible that she didn't remember him.  Anyway, the Epilogue will star another touching scene - and I hope it reads as well as I think it will.

I really liked it.  I think you stayed true to the characters and story.  Looking forward to your epilogue.

Author's Response:

Thanks EdwardVamp!  Nice to have support from the Twilighted Forum - thanks for the comments and hopefully the Epilogue will hit the stands by this weekend!

Well done! I'm looking forward to the epilogue :)

Author's Response:

Thanks Bassman!  I appreciate your comments in both places!  Epilogue has been submitted so hopefully it'll go up by this weekend.

I like how you've portrayed Ray...knowing something is not quite normal, but believing in it anyway.  This has been wonderful to read.

~Susan

Author's Response:

Thank you...  I wanted to write the opposite of Mike Newton.  Someone who finds Bella just as attractive BUT can look beyond her sexual allure and simply be happy for her.  As it was, Ray didn't pick up on anything really adnormal until the Graduation Party, and it was only then that he realized he was eavesdropping in something very strange.  He had too many facts to that point to think of anything but the supernatural.  Then it was basically confirmed when he saw twelve year old Renesmee.  When Edward introduced her as his and Bella's daughter, it was more a confirmation on all his beliefs than a new relevetion.  Stay tuned to the Epilgue, I think you'll like it.

Really enjoying this!  I can imagine that Edward discussed Ray's thoughts with his family at some point, but also was aware that he could be trusted.  Can't wait to read the epilogue.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you can see this play out like I do.  I always felt that the Cullens would be too incredible to swallow without some serious speculation and the town of Forks not to have at least one person to stand back and really observe such a phenomon really is more unbelievable to fathom that it would be for someone to read things like Ray... and having a mind reader and a girl that can tell the future, the Cullens would know whether they could get away with some honesty.  Thanks for reading it the way I do.  :-)

I really like this story.  Its such a clever idea.  I like seeing them from an outsider's perspective.  Was sad about Raymond and Lisa though.  I hope in 10 years he's found his happily ever after too.

Author's Response:

Oh... but it isn't sad about Ray and Lisa because it was never meant to be... but how perceptive of you regarding what theme the Epilogue will carry.  :-)  Thanks for your reading - and now that I have a glimpse of what you like - you will love the Epilogue!
