Aww... I want this Edward for a best friend. Even my own mother never treated me that way when I was ill.

I'm so glad that her repetition of the word "friend" didn't deter him from his admission of love. I hope she doesn't reject him, but it's only chapter 3... so I fear it's almost too easy, too soon. But maybe I'm just feeling all doom and gloomy because of the abundance of fics with chapters upon chapters of pining and unrequited sexual tension.
