Picking up from Edward's leave in New Moon, Bella never rescued Edward, Edward never came back, but somebody did ... 

 This story is set five years after that sad day Edward left Bella in the woods.

For years Bella searches for Edward, eager to tell him her new found secret.  As Bella gives in to her fears, that Edward really is gone, she runs into her past in the least likely place.  Only to find out, her past has a secret to tell as well.

"The smell of the worn book had distracted me from the wonderful aroma that had engulfed the room.  It had subdued my venom, had forced me back into a human-like state, my inner monster slowly crawling back into his darkened hole.  I swallowed one last time, and decided to glance at this glorious teacher.  Obviously he was a man of impeccable taste.  I might actually enjoy Senior Literature this year.  

I glanced up quickly from under my eyelids, my amber eyes focusing on a lanky form in front of me.  I froze.  

… Oh shit. "

Carlisle meets seventeen-year-old Edward late one night in the ER, soon deciding to take him under his wing and away from the brutality inflicted upon him in his violent neighborhood in Chicago.

Bella meets a stunning new transfer student named Edward; good-looking, tall, smart... aloof. He requests to sit next to her, and says his name is Angel...

Edward is an awkward teenage boy living in Forks with his father after his mother hits the road with her new minor-league baseball playing husband. He's not a fan of cold weather or conversations with his father and so therefore not a fan of Forks in general. Not a fan, that is, until he meets the mysterious Bella Swan...

So pretty much it's Twilight except Edward is Bella and Bella is Edward... kind of. It will go any way I want it to go so don't expect me to follow the original storyline. It may be funny, it may be sad, it may be cute, I'm not sure... but I'm open for suggestions.

When the Cullen family is in for their next move, what better place than Gotham City? Packed with devious evildoers, terrible rain and perpetually awful weather. And with the crime rate Carlisle just might be onto something with the idea of a 'team of vigilantes'...but something tells me Batman isn't going to be too happy about this. Batman/Twilight crossover.
