In her incoherent state after Edward leaves her in the forest, Bella's sleeping lips betray her: "Edward is a vampire and I will be one too."  Although the story opens in a mental hospital, it quickly leaves after the first chapter and never looks back...  AU/Dark:  This is not your typical AU-New-Moon story line.  The first few chapters are somewhat normal, but the story then takes a quick and hard turn into a very AU.

It took them thirty years to be together again. Now they just have to live happily ever after, right?

Right. When the love your life is a god who holds grudges like no one you've ever met and is eyeballs deep in mythological intrigue,  a fairytale ending is just a little bit difficult to reach.

This is a multi-chapter sequel to Aengus. I think this will make more sense if you've read that story first.

This story begins by re-imagining a favorite scene from Eclipse, in which Edward and Bella are stuck in a blizzard and must call on Jacob to keep Bella warm.  The original scene hints at Bella's curiosity, Edward's awareness, and Jacob's lust, and the possibilities that lie within that love triangle.  This version asks, what if Bella took what she wanted? What if Edward's long-dormant humanity were finally sparked? And what if Jacob's fantasy finally came true?

Summary:  Every summer Edward and his family spend their time in the small town of Forks and he's usually not excited about it.  Bella visits her father in the summer and usually doesn't mind.  They meet at a bonfire the eve of 4th of July and quickly become friends.  As the years pass, they make it back to Forks every summer even though they are apart throughout the rest of the year.  Although they make it back to each other every year while they're apart have to re-convince themselves that it's worth the wait and that they should stay together.
