Do you like stories where Bella is sweet and kind and mature beyond her years?  And when she and Edward meet they fall in love immediately and have lots of smexy times? And Jake is their dog?

If yes, then this is NOT the story for you.

But if like stories where Bella is insecure, moody, argumentative and occasionally thoughtless, or stories where Bella is kind of involved with both Edward and Jacob at the same time and dealing poorly with the situation - then you might like this story.

Here's what it's about:

Bella has just started her freshman year at Yale after taking a year off between high school and college. She is trying to balance her relationship with her long distance boyfriend, Jacob, while making friends at school and dealing with her classes.  She is also trying to manage the problem that caused her to take the year off before starting college.

And then she gets a ride from a Yalie named Edward Cullen . . .

Bella is married...for now...and starts a new job at a local bank. Edward Cullen is a ruthless overachiever that will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Their two worlds collide...will she be able to soften his hardened heart? Eventual Canon couples...AH!!! A bit OOC.

Bella Swan is a graduate student working on her master’s thesis when she finds herself drawn into a world of dreams, the like of which she has never before experienced.  A mysterious, passionate man is seducing her in a dream state.  Who is he?  And more importantly, where can she find him?

Edward Cullen is an incredibly beautiful man… and an immortal vampire.  The smell of human blood sings to him making it nearly impossible to be around anyone, save his own kind.

High in the hills of the Tuscany region of Italy is a town called Volterra that inexplicably links these two disparate lives.

First from Bella's point of view, then Edward's, the missing hours of their wedding night are related in explicit (but never vulgar) detail.  Physical love: It is new territory for both of them.  Bella is (of course) enthusiastic, sensual, immediate.  Edward, always the analytical thinker, must overcome his more restrained nature and his protective instincts.

We know that Bella is full of bliss upon waking the next morning; Edward is not.  What happened?

My aim was to remove the mystery of their wedding night from the otherwise-known history of Bella and Edward; to satisfy my own raging curiousity as to what happened that night; and to provide unabashed pleasure in the reading of it.

Bella is a military wife, married to Jake and living in Miami.  She meets  Edward, the handyman, and as their relationship progresses begins to question everything she thought she knew.  EXB JXA EmXR AH

Update 13 January 2011 - you've probably noticed that this story has stalled - life tends to get in the way sometimes! I'm currently working on this story plus another, and I've made the hard decision to put A&D on hold until I finish "Jasper's Story".
