Prologue

    I could say that I choose to get involved because it was the right thing to do, but that would just sound cliché. The true is that I did it for vengeance. I did it out of anger, hatred and resentment. I did it for regret, guilt and to atone for the lives I had destroyed. I did it for a moral belief in justice and that all have the right to live their lives without fear that someday someone will come along and destroy everything they hold dearest. Post TTP and during Breaking Dawn. A/H, canon Twilight couples.

Before Jane became a part of the Volturi’s guard, the village she lived in loathed her, as well as her brother, Alec. Eventually, the village’s fury grew and they decided to finally dispose of the demon twins. But what Jane and Alec knew not, was that someone was watching them. And he had no intention of allowing them to die.

A/N: I'm continuing to include Jane's time with the Volturi, all before Twilight.

This summarizes the first seven years or so after Breaking Dawn ends.  It involves Jacob leaving (temporarily), Alice reuniting with part of her human family, and the return of the Volturi.

 Three years after the meeting with the Volturi, Renesmee and Jacob go out to La Push Beach on a particularily hot summer's day, while the rest of the Cullens are out hunting or stay at home. Due to Alice's blindness in Jacob and Renesmee's case, she doesn't see when the Volturi send out three of their guard, Jane, Demetri and Felix, to meet them on the way home.

In Volterra, things so from bad to worse. Jacob and Renesmee are the other's weakness, and they are each taken advantage of in ways that harm the people they love.

Will the Cullens discover what has happened and take the bait? Or will they lose part of the family forever?

The government created a pathogen, a virus, that was used on soldiers to make them stronger.  It got out of hand though and vampirism was born.

Bella and Jacob are in charge of a task force named Twilight who are sent to the island that was once Washington State.  It is called Vampire Island and home to most of the vampires.  It is while on the island that Bella's life is changed forever.  When she meets a small family of vampires that are nothing like the rest.

Can she do what she is trained to do, kill vampires?  Will this vampire family change her world entirely?
