Edward is a brilliant, classically trained pianist who stepped out of the spot light when his career was just starting shine bright at a young age.  Bella is a student at the Northwestern Conservatory of Music in Seattle entering her junior year.  She has a talent for singing, but finds she has a severe case of stage frieght as well.

Once forced to take a piano class in order to graduate that is beyond her skill, Bella needs a tutor and new graduate student Edward Cullen is assigned to the task.  The two don't exactly hit it off, and Edward is going to need a few lessons in humility if he's ever going to win Bella's affections.
