Edward famous author and Bella is a local chief. He writes a piece about her restaurant when he moves back to Washington from Chicago. When goes to the restaurant for his first interview, he goes expecting to meet a man named Seth.  Hwoever, he is surprised when the beautiful Bella Swan turns out to be the owner of the restaurant that is getting to be known all over Washington, not only for its atmosphere, but for its affordable first class cooking. He’s drawn to her, she intrigues him and he starts to think that maybe Washington won’t be as bad as he thought it. As the story progresses and she tells him her story they become closer.  Something's cooking up that has little to do with the actual food. The story is designed to be told a lot in the flashbacks of Bella's mixed in with bits of the present and past.

Bella lives a plain life, devoted to family and the Ordnung. She never thought that there could be anything, or anyone, that could ever make her want to leave everything she knew and loved, behind. Will the stranger she meets help her change her mind?

Edward is a 27-year-old alcoholic/addict struggling with his recovery. Bella is a 23-year-old who's moved back home after college. This fic chronicles how they meet, fall in love, and struggle with the complexities of their relationship. Not nearly as maudlin as it sounds (I hope).

Rated NC-17 for graphic (and sometimes non-romantic) sex, drug and alcohol use and abuse, profane language, and brief (very brief) suicidal ideation (although NO suicide attempts). No sexual assault, no cutting.

During her freshman year, Bella Swan's mother forces her to join the Forks High band.  Instead of the torture Bella was expecting, she actually meets the five people who will become the best friends of her life.  But amid the flirting, jokes, and pranks, something unexpected happens to Bella.  She finds herself unable to escape one devastating mistake and fears her life is over forever...at the age of fifteen. AU/AH.  

One is not free to make mistakes in a small town like Forks.  The tiniest misstep, the smallest indiscretion is fair game for the gossip mill for years.  And the mistake I had made was certainly not a small one.  I would never be able to escape the shadow of what I had done; and worst of all, absolutely everyone knew about it.

There will be no teen pregnancy or illegal drug use in this story.  Anything else that could realistically happen in a high school setting is a possibility.
